"Who was that, Emma?" the petite little Cinderella ask me. I can't believe I just saw him. He has the nerve to show up in my happy place? No. Unacceptable.
"Just Emma's boyfriend," Jo stands behind me, "no biggie." she winked. Um, huge biggie, he is not my boyfriend.
"He is not my boyfriend, Jo." I said and meant it.
"His name is Josh, " Ethan stood at my other side, "Him and Emma used to be so close, people thought they were dating." I elbowed him "I actually kind of miss him around the house."
"So bestfriends?" I shook my head at the little blonde.
"Would you three like to join us for tea?" We all nodded and followed the princess. I'd have to thank Cinderella for changing the subject. Gee, you suddenly run into the person you haven't met in years and he is all of a sudden your boyfriend.
We entered this huge room where a table was already set up for tea. At the table were a couple laughing.
"Mommy! Daddy!" Lily ran into her mother's arms, "Guess who will be joining us for tea?" They looked up at the three of us, smiled then walked towards us.
"Hi, I'm Lily's mom, Becky." she shook hands with all of us. Now I know where Lily gets her blonde hair. Becky's hair is pulled back in a ponytail, making her at least look in her thirties.
"This is my husband, Jack." A man in a gray shirt came up and shook our hands. Lily has his eyes. "So you are the famous Emma our little princess has been talking about?" he said while shaking my hand. I nodded with a smile.
"This is Jo, Ethan, and I'm Emma." I smiled gesturing to each of us.
"Okay everybody, " Cinderella clasp her hands together, "sit down amd enjoy the party. " Everyone sat down at the table and workers poured our tea.
Everything just seems in place. Everybody was sipping on their tea and eating finger sandwhiches, laughing and having a good time.
"I'm sorry I'm late Aunt Beck." We all turned to see a boy dressed in black loose jeans and a white V-neck. His darkish brown hair was styled to the side and piercings in his ear.
"You're here!" Lily ran into his arms, picked her up and spun her around.
"It's okay, Josh." Whoa, what? "Sit down and meet Lily's friends." He looked at us. No wonder I couldn't recognise him, he changed clothes... More like style. He doesn't look the same like he used to. I mean, everyone changes from time to time.
"Emma." he nodded.
"Josh." I nodded.
"You two know each other?" Becky asked. We didn't answer.
"Long ago." He said and I couldn't agree more.
I decided to take the attention off of me, "This is my friend Jo." He nodded at her. "You've already met my brother, Ethan."
"Whoa man, you've changed." Ethan laughed. "You finally hit puberty. Congrats." Everyone laughed at him.
The rest of the tea party was fun and full of smiles. I was having a grand time, hehe, I just can't help but wonder where Josh has been the whole time.
