After our little conversation regarding me being able to go to the cruise with her, I walked her to class and we went our different ways.
When lunch time came around I went to wait for Karma by her locker and as I was turning the corner, I saw her talking to none other than Liam Booker... So I freeze.
What could they possibly be talking about?
Karma had explained to me that she had made it clear to Liam that she loved me the day she confessed her feelings for me.
So what could they be discussing?
Were they friends now?
Hmm...But this is the first time I've seen them together.
I will not make a big deal out of this and I will not act like a jealous girlfriend because I trust Karma and she can be friends with and talk to whoever she wishes. I'm not a controlling girlfriend. I will not be a controlling girlfriend.
I start walking over to them, taking a deep breath in and letting it out. Neither of them notice me come up so I am able to catch Liam saying "Think about it," before making my presence known by asking "Hey Karma... Liam."
Liam looks over and me and Karma turns to face me, surprised.
"Hey Aims," she nervously lets out.
Why is she nervous?
"I didn't mean to interrupt but I thought I'd meet you here instead of in the bus."
Without saying a single word, Liam brushes past me mumbling a "see ya" to Karma. Karma gives him a "yeah," before giving me a half smile.
I grab one of her hands and ask "Are you okay?"
This time she gives me a complete smile, "Yeah, I was just not expecting you to come meet me... What ever you heard... What ever you saw..."
I interrupted her, "Karms," I used my free hand to caress her cheek, "I didn't hear anything and all I saw were two friends having a conversation. So don't look so nervous because I am not mad or jealous. I love you and trust you."
I was expecting a "thank you" but instead she caught me off guard by placing a soft kiss on my lips.
After she pulls away, I miss the feeling of her lips on mine and sigh to myself. She leans her forehead on mine and as she looks directly into my eyes, she says, "Thank you Amy... For trusting me and you have nothing to worry about, he was just..."
I place a finger up to her lips, "Shhh, you don't have to explain anything to me love."
Using her free hand she grabs my free hand and continues, "I know, but I want to... As I was saying," she smirks, "He was telling me that he was sorry about being a douche after the whole threesome thing and that he was hoping we could be friend and what not."
I give her a smile.
I pull her in real close, our lips only millimeters away, "How about we have a movie night? That way I have a darn good excuse to hold you and have you within my arms."
Without breaking the eye contact we currently have, she nods and with that Ipull her along towards the bus area.
Karma'sPOV:
Shit!That was really close.
I let Amy lead me into the bus where we take a seat and hold hands. She's talking to me about how Friday was four days to far because she just wanted to spend time with me, so I was smiling... But I was honestly semi-listening because I was freaking out about whether or not she had heard my conversation with Liam. I had not lied to her when I told her what he had talked to me about... I just hadn't told her what we had been discussing today before she came up to us. He had told me about wanting to be friends a week ago, but that isn't what he had told me just a few minutes ago.
I didn't want to tell Amy because I just couldn't. She would hate me and I loved her too much to have to deal with the pain of her hating me. So I only said half the truth.
The whole ride to our bust stop she had been oblivious to the fact that I hadn't been completely listening to her. It was when we got off the bus, hands still together, that she asked, "Hey beautiful, are you sure you're okay? You seem a little out of it."
We walk in the direction of my house. I tighten the grip of my hand on hers.
"Of course I'm okay, I was just thinking about how lucky I am to be going home only to cuddle with such an amazing girlfriend."
Out of the corner of my eye I catch a glimpse of her smile and I find myself forgetting about Liam and smile.
Movie nights with her always turn into something more... Well at least they had been since we got together for real.
No One's POV:
When the two of them finally made it to Karma's house, Karma volunteered to pop the popcorn so that Amy could pick the movie. After all, the movie would soon be forgotten after the first few minutes.
