Amy faced Karma, her face full of utter emberrassment and humiliation.
"Karma, what the heck am I supposed to say to your mom?" She asked, pacing around.
Karma stopped her by placing her hand on her shoulder. Chuckling, she said, "Amy, stop freaking out. She isn't going to think bad of you just because she walked in on our make out session."
"Are you not fully aware of what just happened? She caught us in a compromising position. Karma, I don't think I'll ever be able to look her in the eye... Oh my gosh! What if she tells your dad... Shit! I'm screwed!"
Amy covered her face with her hands and Karma just laughed. That caught Amy's attention because she uncovered her face and basically glared at her girlfriend.
"Karma, how is this funny? This is not funny at all, it isn't even a funny matter. I'm serious. We probably can't have the door closed any..." She was stopped by Karma's lips.
When Karma pulled away, Amy looked at her with a questioning facial expression.
"What was that for?"
With a smile, Karma answered, "Well, you were babbling too much and it was the only way I thought of stopping you."
"Oh, I'm sorry, but it's just that I am freaking out!"
Grabbing Amy's hands, she spoke, "Amy, trust me, I am as emberrassed as you, but I know my mom. She isn't going to think differently of you, I don't even think that's possible anyhow. My mom loves you and so does my dad, so don't worry about what they will think. You know they support out relationship and are aware of what being in a relationship means. Couples make out. Besides, it's not like she walked in on us having sex."
Amy nervously laughed at the last part.
Amy's POV:
Karma was absolutely right. I shouldn't be freaking out over this. Okay, I need to breath in and out.
"You're right."
She took hold of my hand and began to lead me to the door, but I stopped abruptly. She looked at me with the "what now" expression.
"I'm not freaking out anymore, but... What if she is like listening to our conversation."
She rolled her eyes and I died a little. I say that because even when she does that, she looks beautiful. Without aswering, she began to turn the door knob with her free hand and slowly opened the door. After peeking out, she looked back at me and said, "She isn't even out here. She probably went downstairs and is waiting, with my dad, for us. Now come on."
I let her lead me all the way to the living room, where her parents were busy chatting away. They must have felt our presence because they stopped and turned their attention to us.
"So, my lovely wife here tells me that you two..."
Being the Amy that I was I blurted out, "I'm so sorry sir. I know we shouldn't have been in that postion and I promise to respect your home."
My eyes were closed at the moment and I heard a laugh. It seemed to be coming from Karma's dad, but I couldn't be sure because I still had my eyes shut close. I felt Karma let go of my hand and I began to get nervous. Could she be mad that I said what I said? Before I knew it, I was being hugged.
What the heck.
I opened my eyes and realized he was hugging me. I was so lost right now. Isn't he supposed to be mad or something. I see her mom smiling at me and Karma, well, she is just standing there. I can tell she wants to burst out into laughter but is trying to be serious.
When the hug is over, he says, "Amy, I am not mad. We are not mad or anything. In fact, we are glad to finally see that you two aren't afraid to be affectionate with one another under this roof. We said once before that this was a safe place and we meant it. Besides, you think we don't know how relationships work. Come on, I was constantly making out with Karma's mom. Now, let's forget about this and sit down so we can talk to you love birds."
He goes to sit with Mrs. Archcorft, but Karma remains standing, She motions for me to sit down and I do.
Karma's POV:
It was so hard for me to remain serious the whole time my dad was talking, but I managed. I told Amy that my parents wouldn't care. I loved seeing her freak out though. I loved her in general. Honestly, I had no idea what my parents wanted to talk to us about, but I hope it was nothing bad.
Once Amy sits down, I decide to mess with her... No, I am going to tease her.
I begin to take a seat next to her, but in one swift movement, I end up sitting on her lap. She tenses up a bit and I know that it is because she is still emberrassed, but I don't move. I wrap my hands around her neck and give my attention to my parents, who by the way, are grinning from ear to ear.
"What are you doing?" She whispers in my ear.
I don't respond since my mom speaks up, "Okay, so today we found out that we have been chosen to go on a family cruise next weekend... Now, before you ladies ask anything, we are telling both of you because it is for five people and of course we thought it would be a good idea for you two to be able to spend some quality time alone. Don't worry, we will be doing our thing and leave you two to do as you wish. After all, when you're with us, you are in a safe space. What do you say Amy?"
I can't believe my parents won something... Wait! Did my mom just say what I think she said?
Amy can come with us? That would literally be the best thing that could happen after what Liam told me. Of course I also wanted to finally get some alone time with my girlfriend... Guess I could be killing two birds with one stone. I turn my head to take a look at Amy's expression.
"Uhm... I would love to, but I'd have to discuss it with my mother and I don't think she would like that idea, like at all."
Her attention was on my parents when she spoke, but she faced me as she finished speaking. I could tell she was a bit sad about the truth behind what she had said, but she gave me a half smile. Instead of smiling back, I nuzzled my head into her neck. I breathed her in as I sighed.
"This sucks," I said.
She wrapped her hands around my waist, "I know."
We were in our own littel world but we snapped back into reality when my dad said, "We thought about that, which is why we have a plan."
We both looked at my parents, confused.
My parent? My parents came up with a plan? Guess there always is a first time for everything.
