"It'll all be okay." I said. "Umm, not to be rude, but why doesn't anyone like you but Claudia and me?"

"Claudia and I, but I don't really think she likes me much either." was her reply. "I think... I think they are afraid of my magic."

"Why?" I asked. "I have very rare and powerful magic."

"I'm not afraid! Does that mean I'm powerful too?"

"Sure." she said, smiling. The nurse came back into the room.

"I'm glad your awake, but you have to go to lunch now." We went into the dining hall, where the head mistress was giving a speech. She turned to glare at us.

"Girls! You are late! And where are your uniforms?" Oh no! Trouble on the first day? "Put on your uniforms and don't be late again!"

"But she was in the nurse's office, and I had to stay with her, so we didn't get uniforms or schedules!" I blurted. I knew I shouldn't have, but I couldn't help it. Her glare didn't lessen.

"Go to the secondary mistress's office and get your things, but I don't want any more trouble from you!". We walked to the second mistress's office. Eve looked shocked at getting in trouble.

"Never been in trouble before?" I asked.

She shook her head no, and replied "Have you ever been in trouble before, and I'm more interested in the fact that you got away with sassing the head mistress." Awkward silence...

"That makes sense, I said, trying to end the quiet. I opened the door. We walked inside and told the secondary mistress what we needed. She rang a bell and a servant brought us tea, while she got us our things. Mmm! Mine was cinnamon! My favorite! When she handed us our schedules I looked at mine and cried, "Siren song! Don't you have woodshop?"

"Only inventors witches get that class." said the secondary mistress, looking slightly surprised. "Well I don't have siren song either, so can I transfer?" I asked.

1"You can only transfer if you are a technician witch." was her reply. "Try me." I said, thinking, "I shouldn't be doing this! I shouldn't be doing this!" The secondary mistress and the tea lady exchanged a glance. She pulled a mangled cuckcoo clock out of the drawer and handed it to me.

"If you can fix this I'll let you transfer."

"Is this okay?", I asked pulling a mini screw driver out of my bra, and swiping, everything off of her desk.

"Young lady!-"

"Sorry, I'm about to zone out." I opened the clock and dumped the mangled contents onto her desk.

"Excuse me, but when is this due?" was the last thing I heard before zoning out. I'm sure Eve said it. My hands flew across the clock with inhuman precision. They glowed their usual purple, with silver streaks, and the joy of doing my hobby amplified my Grace and speed. The glow became brighter. Maybe, I really was an inventors witch as well as a potion master witch. I finally finished. It had taken no more than five minutes. Not the most complicated thing, really. Everyone was staring at me.

"What? Am I in?"

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure you are." Eve replied. The secondary mistress snatched the clock, my uniform, and my schedule. She took out her stamp and stamped my schedule. Chorus faded and inventors workshop appeared.

"Oh!" I cried in surprise.

"Haven't you ever seen a magi-stamp before?" Eve asked.

I shook my head no, and said, "I'm from the human world. The only magic I've ever seen is yours, and mine." The secondary mistress stamped my uniform, and silver lining crawled around the edges.
