-Destiny's POV-

Destiny glanced at the castle looming over O'hkasis and growled under her breath, her mind filling with rage thinking of that queen.

The one with that perfectly straight hair. The one with those sky blue eyes that sparkled with anger. The one with that pearl white smile.

Destiny truly hated her.

Ever since she was young, she treated her as a servant, even though Destiny was her so-called daughter. Ever since she was found in the old castle of O'hkasis that was nothing more than shambles, the king adopted her. She wished she knew better then. She wished she would have run away with her wobbly legs.

When the king took her in, the queen instantly grew a hatred for her. Maybe because she wanted to be the only lady in the family. She wouldn't even look at Destiny, nor invite her to the dining room for dinner. She was expected to starve.

After Destiny turned 8, she caught on to these actions and returned her behavior. Whenever she wasn't looking, she stuck her tongue out at her or sometimes if she was feeling sneaky, throw some of the queen's dresses into the pond outside the castle. She always loved hearing her shriek.

Soon after, the King started to dislike her too. He know longer came to her bedroom and wished Destiny a goodnight, but yet started to ignore her. She hated this treatment, so when she turned 16 she  decided to leave the castle, not even stopping to say goodbye.

Although, Destiny never had the heart to leave the village. There was something that tugged at her heart to stay.

And the truth is;

She did know that she had a birth mother and father.

She did know they were once the rulers of the O'hkasis.

And she did know that she had a twin sister.

But their dead now.

Destiny tried to pry answers away from the villagers, but every time she brought it up, they just held their head in pain, groaned and walked away. Back when she lived in the castle, there was an archive. She wasn't allowed to even peek her head past that iron door. Secrets are behind that door, but she never really considered even trying to sneak her way in. If she was caught, who knew what would happen. Yes, temptations did pop into her head every now and then, but she drowned them out by listening to the noise of the villagers rushing past her window and disappearing around walls.

She looked away from the window, opened her cottage door and walked outside into the fresh air. When she left, she soon found a cottage that a kind, old woman sold to her for a few gold coins, which she held a full pouch of. Living in the village wasn't so easy, though. Destiny had to find a job and the hatred that the king and queen had for her didn't make my conditions any better.

She must've not been paying attention to where she was going because she was soon on the ground, her behind hurting from the hard fall. Groaning, Destiny quickly grabbed her pouch full of coins and glanced at the person who she accidentally bumped into.

It was funny.

She almost looked exactly like her.

Well, expect that she had light blue eyes and Destiny's was a dark green. She brushed dirt off of her dark blue dress, muttering curses under her breath as she picked up a few scattered papers. After she was organized, she looked up to see which fool bumped into her and her eyes met Destiny's.

There was a spark that lasted for a split second before she stumbled to her feet. She let out a nervous giggle and brushed a loose strand of hair behind her ear. Destiny realized that she was foolishly still lying on the pavement and a few more seconds on the ground and she was going to be trampled. Destiny quickly got up and apologized to her.

"Oh, oh, it's fine! It's my fault really, I was too busy looking at my papers," she said nervously.

"You know..you strangely remind me of someone.." she continued.

"Really? Me too..you know, you look a lot like me." Destiny replied.

"I thought the same! Hey, do you have a sister by any chance?" she asked, a little excited.

"Well...I used to. I-I..she's not alive now..."

She paused, a little disappointed but empathy filled her eyes,

"Oh..I'm sorry....my name is Melody...what is yours?"

Melody looked at her, waiting for an answer as Destiny hesitated. She did just bump into her. How could she trust her with her nname? People of O'hkasis could never be trusted, but something about Melody made her know that she was foreign to O'hkasis and was most likely more sweeter than that.

"..Destiny. I'm Destiny." Melody stopped shaking at the sound of her name, stiffening.

"Destiny...I've heard of that name before.."

Destiny rolled her eyes. She needed to run errands and she didn't have time for pointless chatter.

"Whatever..if you're done I have some things to do.." she said and nudged past her. Although, before she could disappear into the crowd, Melody grabbed Destiny's arm and pulled her back.

"W-wait! Um, I'm sorry for bumping into you...maybe I could treat you to lunch?" she asked nervously. Destiny stared at her and thought on her offer. Sighing, she finally made a decision.

"As long as you pay for lunch...sure."
