~ Chapter 2: Worried ~

  {Gray's POV:}  

I arrived at the guild a little earlier than usual this morning, since only Lucy, Natsu, Happy, Erza, and Mirajane were awake and up. Something was off, though, because {Y/N} wasn't here. I soon began to feel a little worried about her, since she sometimes went off and didn't tell why.

"Where is {Y/N}?" I asked aloud.

Erza glanced up from reading her paper. "She took the job that was to kill the shifters in a forest near {N/O/V}. She should be back in a week or so."

So that was why I suddenly seemed worried. The area near where that village is highly dangerous, and usually only S - Class missions were held there. I remember seeing that job on the second floor, and it was odd that it ended up on the first floor mission board. Somebody must have moved it, because mission papers don't change boards.

"How could have {Y/N} taken an S - Class job when it wasn't even on the second floor?"

That caught their attention.

"That was an S - Class job!?" Mirajane cried, panicking. "I can't believe I didn't know it was an S - Class mission! if I had known, I would've stopped her instantly..." she trailed off, looking guilty.

Natsu spoke up, "Do you think we need to stop her Happy?" Natsu asked the blue flying cat.

"Aye sir!" He responded.

"Wait!" I yelled, maybe a little too loudly. "I want to go after her. After all, I can observe what kind of ice magic she uses and possibly help her if the fighting is too much for {Y/N}. Would that be ok, Erza?" I glanced at her.

Erza nodded. "Just keep your guard up, Gray. You never know what could pop up and attack you at any moment. And I suggest you hurry up because I don't know how far {Y/N} is from Fiore by now."

"Ok, well I'll be back in a few days. See you later guys." I waved and left.

Unbeknownst to Gray, Happy had whispered in Natsu's ear, "He likesssss her." and Natsu smirked, knowing that it was apparent Gray had feelings for {Y/N}.
