Two months later, it was a Saturday afternoon, and like I said, every Saturday Stephanie and her mom goes to the beach.
Stephanie and her mother were at the beach.
"Mom?" Stephanie said
"Yes my dear?" Her mother replied.
"Why did we have to leave?"
"Honey," her mom began. "It's hard to explain."
"Yeah but...ugh never mind." Stephanie said.
"OK then." Her mother replied.
Stephanie's mother knew her daughter was having a hard time away from her real home. She knew she missed her one friend, Alice. She didn't want to explain the truth to her.
Twenty-five minutes later, a group of other teenage kids walked up the beach.
"Hey, Stephanie," Stephanie's mom said, "there are other teens, wanna go say hi?"
"No, I probably would just get in the way..." She replied.
"But then how will u make friends?" Her mother asked.
"I guess I won't have friends. Eh, that's normal..." She replied.
"Well sweetie, I think they're coming our way..." Her mother said.
"Hey! I'm Taylor, these are my friends, Cody, Blake, Adam, and Lucy. You must be the new one in town." Taylor said looking at Stephanie.
"Ya..I'm new..." Stephanie replied shyly and quietly.
"Oh don't be shy! We're cool and also the "good" teens." Lucy said.
"Wanna hang out with us?" Cody asked.
"Sure I guess.." Stephanie replied.
"Have fun sweetie!" Her mother called to her.
"OK mom!" Stephanie called back as all six walked away...
