•Ch.1•{A City of Colors}•

⭐️I have been really...really busy these past few weeks and I have exams to finish...so I'll be a bit delayed..on posting new chapters.And thanks for reading my story's So here you are!⭐️

   This world was said to be full of life and colors..so how come she could only see a void of emptiness..?

She'd felt as though she was lost in a deep void, a Galaxy where everything was filled with a darkness. Deep in thought, her thoughts scattering about as she zoned out gazing up at the starry night sky from her balcony.Her light gray and yellow orbs searching, searching for some sort of sign to explain these troublesome thoughts to her. "Mira! Could you come downstairs for just a moment dear?"

  Mira snapped out of her thoughts or as her mother liked to call it 'Staring off into space' which really was not that inaccurate. Walking back inside her room was lit by a lantern on her desk for her walls were painted a galaxy of stars, which she had painted with her mothers permission of course. She'd pull down her navy blue gown down a bit making her way downstairs, but not without tripping mid way until her face met with the carpeted floor below. Mira groaned in pain lifting herself up, hand on head where a bump was forming. "Owe...that hurt more than the last time.." Besides her fall she went to the small kitchen where her mother was seated on a wooden chair.
Her mother had bright yellow eyes and long purple-blue tentacles tied in a wrap around ponytail, her skin smooth and pale like a pearl. Truly she was a beautiful woman for her age in Mira's opinion.' Did you fall down the steps ...Again?' Her expression was of concern and amusement as She nodded removing her hand from her head. 'Well dear since tomorrow is  the big day..I thought I'd go ahead and get you a little something..' Now she was confused until she came to realization muttering as it dawned on her. " Oh..I forgot that was tomorrow.." Her mother gave a sigh standing up and grabbing a dark navy blue hoodie with black blue lined shorts handing them to her daughter. ' Honestly your to forgetful and such a klutz to...it stresses me to think of you all alone in the big city ...' Mira rolled her eyes adjusting the hold on her new clothes. " Yes yes I get it..you worry to much Mother.."

And with that Mira quickly started making her way upstairs. " Well I'm going to bed G'night !" Her mother shook her head a soft smile playing on her lips. ' Good night Mira..and please! Try not to sleep in late like you always manage to do !" Mira set her new clothes on her desk plopping onto her fluffy bed curling up under the blankets slowly closing her eyes. " Please guide me like you've always done..I hope everything goes alright..."She had looked up at the stars on her ceiling as she said this, falling asleep soon after.

     Beep beep beep. Mira slowly opened her eyes slamming the alarm clock on the floor mumbling. " Shut up....nobody likes you.." Just as she was about to sleep once more, she remembered seeing the train tickets on her bedside table.

"Fuuuuuuuuuuu..... I'm Gonna be late !" Hurriedly she threw off her gown  throwing on the new fly itches she received last night and slipping high white socks on with a single blue line running through them, along with slipping on white sneakers.Quickly looking in the mirror the curly tentacles around her cheeks I bit messy, ignoring that she'd grab her button up black bag containing extra clothes, paint, sketchbook,money and her squidphone. "I can't believe this I have 10 minutes to get to the Splatform!!" Mira grabbed her geek glasses seeming like a rushed mess pulling her hood over head rushing down the stairs carefully. Her mother of course knew this would happen having a Sea salt bagel on the counter for her shaking her head as she came down. " Thanks Mother!"She'd snatch the bagel giving her mother a chaste kiss on the cheek and out the door, dashing down the sidewalk until she reached the Splatform with about 30 seconds to spare. Her mother sighed going back to the book she had been reading telling herself she'll be fine, Hopefully.

Mira ran down the Splatforms until her trains door was starting to close, she quickly threw the ticket at a man with a uniform leaping inside just barely making it. But before she could feel relived Mira had slammed into another inkling to the floor with her. She'd lift herself up a bit hissing in pain her glasses had fallen off revealing her hidden gray eyes with a faint silver,curly tentacles falling around her face. An inkling boy with tan skin and bright orange tentacles with pink highlights on the ends.Silver eyes stared into bright gold ones as her face slowly turned into a bright red from being so close, she stuttered freaking out her tentacles dotting with pink." I um...I'm s..sorry!"

  The boy just stared speechless staring at the beautiful inkling he gazed at her pale features seeing how hidden she was under all of the clothes and such.Quickly realizing he was staring he sat up amused at the embarrassed expression she gave, her being surprisingly light. "It's fine..are you ...Ok..-" When he sat straight she had turned into a squid her bag dropping to the floor.He sighed grabbing her bag and lifting the squid up as it was flustered by the situation."Calm down..I'm not gonna hurt you...jeez..lets just sit down and wait till we get to Inkopolis.." The squid seemed to be rebellious in his arms glaring up at him as she pouted.He sat down in a free seat setting the squid beside him as she was still glaring at him."Feisty aren't you..?" The squid looked away."Anyways my names Alister." She had finally composed her self a bit shaping back into her original form looking away hood down and glasses in her hands, She responded quietly."Mira..." Alister gave her a strange look."Mira...? That's a bit uncommon ..interesting .."She'd blush rubbing the back of her hand not very good at socializing."It means Star ...and yours is pretty uncommon to y'know..!" He gave a smirk ."Suppose it is..I'm guessing this is your first time moving to Inkopolis ?" Mira nodded as they just entered said city, she'd take her bag pulling her hood up and placing the black glasses upon her nose. At this he frowned her wonderful features hidden once more."Well hope you have no trouble settling in ..see ya around Mira.."The train creaked to a stop doors sliding open inklings filing out.Mira quickly stood up not seeing Alister in sight, she'd make her way through all the squid-kids pushing her around since she had a smaller build than most. Finally she'd make it out stumbling, bright jumping pads with different color assortments were around the large building sunlight warming the area inklings everywhere you looked chatting, buying clothes , weapons and this wasn't even the beginning of all the madness going on around her." It's ..crowded ..."Taking in a deep breath she'd take out a torn piece of paper from her pocket it saying the address of her apartment. Looking around she noticed not many squids had the same colored tentacles as her navy blue ones."Which jump pad ..blue...purple...?"Mira made her way towards the purple platform some squids giving her odd glances. She quickly walked up onto the pad pulling her hood down revealing her strange color bending her knees as her tentacles glowed a Milky Way light and jumped into the air a bit of paint trailing behind her. Upon her landing she gave a surprised gasp at all the colors around her weapons in hands of other squid kids. 'So this was Inkopolis' She thought taking a step forward pulling her hood overhead and looking at the note again." Better find my apartment.." Before she could start wandering this colorful city she first needed to get settled in, eventually she found her apartment ' Thank the Squids it had a balcony'. A lot of her things had been shipped here in boxes, Mira set her bag down walking out on the balcony a rainbow of colors reaching every far end of the city. "I'm finally here ..maybe some of my thoughts will be answered if I stay ..and maybe I'll finally find a place I belong.."
