Qualitative analysis is the investigation of the kind of substances that are in the sample.
Quantitative analysis is the measure of each substance in the sample.
An ionic compound is a compound which contains positive ions (cations) or negative ions (anions).
Flame test- Test used to identify the ion present. The unknown substance is heated, resulting in the colour of the flame changing.
Litmus paper can be used to identify for ammonium ions.
