The Mysterious Disappearance Of Rob

Chapter 1: Rob- Introduction, bitter experiences.

"An optimist calls an abnormal person 'unique'.
A pessimist sees the uniqueness abnormally"

This very thought stayed deeply in the mind of Rob, who attends high school at Chrysalis High.
Rob is a person whose presence substitutes sorrow to happiness. His words are an inspiration to people who are on the verge of giving up, motivation to the people who have just started to arise.
His understanding nature plays a major role in in helping him to be what he is today. He is happy with the kind of friends he has and the kind of support they provide to him.

One day in winter, a loud thud on his door wakes him up from his sleep. He sits up, rubs his eyes and sees the clock. It is 2:08 in the morning. A bad dream is what he thinks and so he decides to go back to sleep. By then, he could hear another thud on his door. This time he knows it is not a dream, but reality. Out of fear and some negligence he goes to the door and puts his left ear on the door, THUDDDD again. A quick shiver captures his spines, he takes a big sigh and gains some courage to open to door. And when he does open the door, there is nobody there except for a thick layer of mist all over. Being terrified from the experience, he spends the rest of the night thinking about the mysterious thud that had woke him up.

It is a beautiful winter Friday for all, but not for Rob. When the clock strikes 9:00 AM, he leaves to college, still being worried about the horrifying experience he had had the previous night. Upon reaching the college, he meets his best buddy, Josh to say about the previous night.

"I have had this horrible experience yesterday at around 2 in the morning. Noises of someone thudding on the door several times, woke me up from deep sleep. But to my surprise, there was no one outside" said Rob

"Were you hallucinating?? Or might be just a dream or something." replied Josh

"No no. I wasn't. And it isn't a dream too, cos I was literally awake and I could sense things perfectly"
"But how can you hear a thud, when there was no one outside the door. I mean, who would do that in the middle of the night?"
"That is what, which has freaked me out. I am new to the area and I am worried if this continues regularly.
Would you mind to accompany me this night and see if it repeats?"
"No, I wouldn't. I will come to your place once I finish up with my laundry"
"Okay. Thanks"

Later that day at 10 PM,

Rob is reading something in the newspaper sitting on his couch which is near to the door.
Suddenly he hears a number of thuds on his door. He reaches the door and opens it, with a terrified look on his face. It was his buddy, Josh.
