The Mysterious Disappearance Of Rob

Chapter 2: Rob-Josh conversation and thuds again.

Josh stands there with a good laugh. It brings him immense happiness to scare the shit out of people.
Seeing Josh laugh pisses off Rob, for he hates when people use his fears to fear him even more. But as Rob is a person who doesn't express things out, he greets him with a smile on his face.
Both sit on the same couch on which Rob was sitting earlier without uttering a single word. Rob decides to break the silence and hence speaks.
"So how did the laundry thing go?"
"It went on well. Except for the fact that I had forgotten to put the detergent to the washing machine"
"Haha..! I wonder how you said it went on well, when that's the scenario"
"Seriously my man, I wonder that too"
"(Laughs, then starts speaking again) How did the classes go today? Mr. Permson seemed really serious about those grading pattern. Do you think that it will be that critical this year?
"Nah man. He is just trying to scare the hell out of us. So that we concentrate from the initial stages"
"I thought the same initially, but by the end of his period, my thoughts had changed"
"I see."

The clock's needles show 10:28.
The environment outside is getting colder.
The night is getting more peaceful.
The lights in the neighboring houses start to fade off over time and so is Rob's fear of the experience he had had the previous day.
Josh and Rob are interestingly watching something on YouTube. Josh is thirsty.
He says that to Rob and so Rob tells him to have the bottle of Coke that was kept in the refrigerator.
Agreeing to that, Josh pauses the video that they were seeing and goes to the refrigerator, which is a bit far from where they are sitting.

THUDDD....
"Josh, it is not funny anymore"
(Josh doesn't hear it. He has gone to end his urge to pee. Rob doesn't know that)
The thud isn't heard again. Rob still thinks it is Josh who did that and has stopped as he told him it is not funny.

Some minutes pass..
THUDD THUDD THUDD....
"Josh..!! You are scaring me..!!"
"Sorry I made you wait. Had to pee, my man. Here you go, take a sip."
"Don't you do that to me ever again"
"Look, I said I am sorry"
"Dude, not that. Don't you ever give thuds and scare me again"
"Come on man. Haven't you taken that out of your mind yet?"
"I had taken that out. But you did that to me again..! Which is why I am telling you not to do that again"
"Excuse me? I didn't do anything. I swear"

THUDDDD THUDDD THUDDDD THUDDD
"Rob..!! This is scaring the hell out of me."
"See this the exact experience I have been experiencing from yesterday...!"
"Dude, the thud isn't coming from the door. Then where is it coming from?"
"My senses tell me, it is coming from somewhere there (he is pointing at the old wooden closet)"
There are fluctuations in the light, slowly they turn off.
Rob gets a candle lit, Josh keeps his arms positioned.
They are nearing the closet, THUDD again...!!!
