The Mysterious Disappearance Of Rob

Chapter 3: Violent activities; Scared friend- Tim

As they near the closet the intensity of the THUDs increases. The darkness in the room is adding to their fear. Josh notices the candle, it was about to die.
He is confused for a moment, because it was a new candle and hence there are no chances for it to be over. It is a room with the windows closed and hence there is no wind for the candle fire to be dying.

Josh opens the door of the closet with great deal of fear. All of a sudden the closed windows starts to rumble vigorously, chill air fills the room.
The candle that Rob has goes off and the room gets very dark again. The THUDs have stopped. However, violent activities in the room continue. Rob tries to lit the matches to try and light the candle, but his efforts are in vain. Both of them decide to exit the room and run for the door, before they could come out, the door shuts itself very harshly. They try to open it, but it has got locked somehow and is not opening. Both of them keep hitting the door continuously, shouting 'Help us..! Unlock the door..! Help' but nothing seems to be helping.

Suddenly the windows stop rumbling and so did the THUDs. Both of them stop banging the doors to understand what is happening. The room is now as peaceful as an empty room. Few moments later, a deep voice breaks the silence.

It said "You have been chosen, for there are no ways to avoid it."
Both Josh and Rob are dumb-striken listening to the voice. Their hearts are beating really fast. Josh is sweating profusely. Rob's legs are shivering badly. They are in a confusion as to who the voice referred to, when it said 'you'. They get to the door, opens it and leaves the room. They lock it with a big lock that they usually use to lock the gate.

Both couldn't sleep in the little time that they had. They wait till the clock ticks 6:45 and later left to college having 'worry' as their close company. It is a beautiful morning to people. But not for these two gentlemen. A period gets over and being unable to sit without sharing what happened the other night, both Josha and Rob look around the class to see who is worth sharing with.

At first they see Brook. They feel he doesn't give a shit about it. They then see Tim. His face is filled with almost the same kind of fear and anxiety. Surprised, they go to him and asks him what the matter was.

He begins "Last few nights have been very difficult for me. As days progress the intensity of the activities at home is increasing. I am so much worried and scared about what will happen today. I, in fact tried to avoid it by goin to my friend's house. But nothing seems to work. Cos even back there, that thing.................." (gets unconscious)
