Chapter 1

"Selena, honey wake up" my mum says quietly whilst caressing my face.

My eyes flutter open and I look from mum to my alarm clock; it says 8:00.

"Mum! You were ment to wake me up earlier; it's my first day at the new school and I don't want to be late!" I say as I jump out of bed and run into the bathroom.

I have a quick shower and I do my make up lightly to keep my face looking fresh but still perfect. I raid my closet and find the school uniform.

I grab my brush and put my light brown hair into a ponytail that goes halfway down my back.

I run downstairs and grab my black leather shoulder bag with all if my stuff in it and I grab my keys.

"Okay mum, got to go. Bye!" I yell as I go out the front door.

I walk down the path, over to the driveway and I climb into my Nissan 370z. I put the keys in the ignition and reverse out of the driveway.

The drive to school didn't take too long surprisingly because I live in the outskirts of Melbourne.

I park in the car park of the school and just as I get out I can already feel the eyes of the other students bore into me.

I was hoping that nobody would pay attention to me for just today at least. But I guess I'll just have to suck it up and try not to make a fool out of myself, this ought to be fun.
