Truth, Lies And Big Mistakes (Beau Brooks Fan-Fiction)

Chapter 5

We weren't waiting very long before the doctor let Beau out of the hospital. He had gotten a very minor concussion but was otherwise fine.

We all hoped into my car seeings though Mel and I drove to the hospital while Beau was in the ambulance.

"Nice car, Nissan 370z right?" he asks me as he slides into the front passenger seat.

"Yeah, you a car person?" I ask him as I begin to drive.

"Aww I guess I know a bit about cars, what about you?"

I stiffen "My brother wouldn't be home a lot so I would spend time with my dad working on cars, not meaning to brag but I could dismantle and then reconstruct an entire engine" I say.

"Cool, what does your dad do for a living?" Mel asks from the back seat.

I've never talked about my brother and fathers death. I've always been the tomboy, the girl who hangs out with guys. So nobody would talk to me about my feeling cause I'd be to busy being an idiot with the guys.

"He's dead" I say quietly.

My eyes begin to water but I try to blink back the tears. Luckily we had arrived at the brooks house.

"I'm sorry, Selena I didn't know" she says quickly.

"It doesn't matter, are you feeling better?" I ask quickly changing the subject.

"Yeah, thanks for the ride and stuff Sel" I look over at Beau and ruffle his hair.

"Good so you still up to make the video?" I ask him.

"Yep, well if you go home and get changed, by the time you get back we should have everyone" he says.

"Cool" I say, I look back at Mel "do you wanna grab some clothes and sleep over at mine tonight?"

Her face lights up and almost instantly replays with a yes.

After about 10 minutes she runs out if the house with her bag full of stuff. When we got home I walked in and showed Mel around. We both got changed and while Mel was in the loo (A loo is a toilet) I ran downstairs and told Mum what the plan was.

"Okay sweetie we'll just go shopping tomorrow, I feel a bit like watching a movie and popping open a bottle of wine anyway" she says.

"Oh my god sorry mum I totally forgot!" I say hugging her.

"Nevermind" she says and just on time Mel runs downstairs.

"Ready?" she asks once she gets over to us.

"Yep" I say popping the p.

I grab my keys, wallet, phone and say goodbye to mum and then we leave.
