She entered the doors of Wasatch High School and started to walk down the hallway, as if she had been at the school for 10 years of her life. She casually walked by the students standing next to their lockers and continued on with her gaze straight ahead. It was her casual manner that intrigued the other teenagers lining the hallways. They knew that she was a new kid, having never seen her face before. She acted as though she had not a care in the world. But her mind was screaming.
" Don't even think about telling!! There's no turning back now. You know that. And remember what he said, if you tell, it'll be the last thing you say."
She entered geometry class, her first period of the day. Her breath shook. No one noticed, and she prayed that for their own safety they wouldn't. Her eyes roamed the room, and settled on a desk in the far left corner. "Perfect" she thought. Corners were her best friend. She sighed heavily and thunked her books onto the desk. While every one was chatting around her, she looked down at her shoes. The bell rang, and first period began. Mr. Montgomery, the geometry teacher, started down roll call.
"Everyone settle down, settle down." He sighed as he sat on the side of his desk. " We've got a new student today." He looked directly at the new girl, forcing her to look up awkwardly at her classmates. Mr. Montgomery looked over the rim of his spotless glasses, seemingly looking over her strange appearance.
"Do you want to tell us your name?"
She didn't reply, but looked back down at the floor.
"What's your name?" he asked again, more kindly than demanding.
     She didn't answer.
Someone called out from somewhere in the room. "Yea, what's your name Vampire Girl?!"
