"Lidia baby why are you sleeping in the tub" my mom asked waking me up. I didn't know I've fallen sleep in the tub full of now cold water. " you must have had a rough day come here" she grabbed my towel and wrapped it around my shivering body " aww sweetie you're shivering" she guiding me to my bed. "Lay there let me get you something warm to wear" I nodded and got under my blanket as I continue to shiver.
I don't remember how I fell asleep all I remember was the scene that occurred. I wish I could tell her what really led me to fall asleep in the tub but I cant, I know she would want to protect me and in the process get herself killed. The idea of her husband raping me when she's not home will cause her to do the unthinkable.
"Here you go sweetie put this on and take this Tylenol it will help with what ever pain you're feeling" I dragged myself out of bed and put the sweat pants and hoodie on. After I took the Tylenol I climbed back in bed. She added two more blankets to the ones I already had
"Well I will be in the other room if you need anything" she said as she kissed my forehead "I will make an appointment with Perez tomorrow to check the baby and see if everything is fine ok?"
At least I don't have to go to school tomorrow" Ok mom thank you for everything I really appreciate it" I said honestly
"You're welcome baby" she said walking to the door. As soon as she turned off the light and closed the door I pulled the blanket over my head, closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Nina walked to hwher bathroom and did what she has been doing for the pass two years cry silently to herself. She sat on her toilet thinking about how she ended up in this situation. A man she once loved now brings her more pain than she can ever imagine. He hits and beat her when ever he please rapes her daughter and tells her theres nothing she can do about it because he has the power to kill her.

two years ago
it was 12 o'clock when Nina walked into the house tried from work. She had agree to do a over time because they needed the extra money now that Richard lost his job. The house was quiet which indicate that everybody was asleep she kicked off her shoes and went in the kitchen to find something to munch on before heading to bed.
After grabbing a water and a apple she decided to go check on her daughter and her step son Rico who she haven't seen all day. when she got to the top of the stair she hear the tv on in her room on she decided to go greet her husband first since he was up, only to find the room empty
