Melting the Human Ice Cube (SasuSaku)

Chapter 2

Sakura's eyes opened at around 6:30, as she was always an early riser, but Sasuke and Naruto were still sleeping.

Grabbing a change of clothes and her towel, she quietly walked to the bathroom and in the next ten minutes, she had showered, changed, brushed her teeth and fixed up her hair. Sakura's outfit today adorned white leggings and a green flowy top that graced her features very nicely. She walked out of the bathroom to see Sasuke awake and sitting on the couch; he seemed to be waiting for to come out of the bathroom.
"Hey," she said once she saw him. "Good morning."

Sasuke only replied with a simple, "Hn," and then stood up and went to take a shower and brush.

Sakura rolled her eyes. He came out a little while later, toweling his damp hair. He was wearing a simple t-shirt and shorts. Sakura blushed a little, but then stopped, reminding herself that he was a jerk.

Since Sakura was starting to get hungry, she went into Naruto's room in an effort to wake him up so they could all go down to breakfast together. After trying to wake up Naruto several times and failing, she had had enough, "NARUTO! RAMEN IS FREE DOWNSTAIRS!" She screamed in his Naruto eyes shot open and he sat up abruptly in bed. "REALLY?!"

Sakura shook her head in irritation. "No, idiot. That was only to get you up."

He whined because she had lied to him and after he had finally gotten ready, the three went down to get breakfast, which was available at any times between 6:00 and 8:00. They saw Hinata, Shino and Kiba there too and Sakura waved. Hinata waved back.

Sakura went to go sit with them, followed by Naruto and Sasuke. "Hey guys!" she said.

"Why are you so cheery? It's only 7:30 in the morning," Kiba grumbled.

"Yeah, Sakura-chan! Why did you wake me up so early?!" Naruto said in the same tone.

"I'm a morning person and 7:00 is not an early time to wake up, Naruto!" Sakura replied.

"For you, maybe," Kiba and Naruto said in unison.

"Hinata and Shino woke up early and decided to wake me up too," Kiba complained. "School hasn't even started yet! LET ME REST IN "That expression is used when people have died, Kiba," Shino stated matter-of-factly.

Kiba glared at him. "Well, I don't care; I feel as tired as a dead person!"

"...Dead people wouldn't be able to feel anything..."

Kiba groaned in frustration. "It's too early for this! Shut up!"

Then, before anyone could reply, a girl with two buns in her hair came up to their table, followed by two boys and said, "May we sit here?"

Sakura nodded, scooting over a bit to give the girl some room to sit next to Sakura. Another boy with long hair tied into a low ponytail sat down beside her.

Rock Lee, one of the two boys who were following the bun-haired girl, then exclaimed, "Oh! My youthful cherry blossom! You have met my Sakura only nodded and smiled slightly, kind of weirded out. Lee went to sit next to Shino, on the other side of the table.

"I'm Tenten, just Tenten," the girl with two buns said.

"Sakura," Sakura replied. "This is Naruto and Sasuke," she said, gesturing to each one as she said their names. Naruto waved cheekily, while Sasuke said nothing.

Tenten nudged the boy beside her, silently telling him to introduce himself. He looked up from his food at the others. "I'm Hyuuga Neji," he spoke monotonously, just like Sasuke.

Great another human ice cube, Sakura thought. Then she realized something. Wait. Hyuuga?

"G-Good morning, Neji-niisan," Hinata said.
