Another Day

SELENA'S POV

You may know a typical high school girl as being all girlie and such however I am the total opposite. I am not pretty, popular, nor do i have a boyfriend. My high school life is just plain.I have never been to a part, had a drink, nor have i been on a date. I am a girl who has never been noticed until this year.....the year the anybody like me wouldn't forget.

It was my first day of my senior year, a Monday, and i was doing my normal morning routine. since i had no friends i didn't have any friends to ride or walk to school with.

" Selena come down stairs and eat breakfast" my mom yelled from down stairs

" Okay mom I am coming i just need to make my bed"( oh and did i mention I'm a clean freak)

" Are you ready for your first day of senior year sweat heart?"

" It is just like any other year mom so yes i am ready"

" well come straight home after school"

" Well it is not like i have anywhere else to go, i have to go mom ill see you later"

I pulled into the school parking lot and headed in to the school's front entrance. I didn't care if everybody i walked by stared at me like i was some wild animal or something. Once i was in the school i walked straight to the front office to get my new schedule. Once i stepped into the office i knew that what i told my mom this morning is going to be a lie. This year is going to be totally different from the others....

The front office was completely rearranged. And i know what you are thinking but this school has been the same for almost 20 years i don't understand why they finally decided to change things around.

I had my new schedule and i was now walking to my first class which was social studies. All my classes that i have are all above my grade level  which means that they are going to be extremely boring. Throughout the rest of the class i basically zoned out, i mean it is not like i wasn't a fan of school i just so bored.

 It is now lunch time,during this time i go to library and read teen fiction books. Before i go to read i was on my way to my locker so i could grab my books for my next class. On my way to my locker i got ran into and all my papers fell onto the group. I bent down to pick them up until  somebody beat me to it. We both stood up he slowly handed me my paper.

" sorry i didn't see you there"

"it is fine I'm use to it"

" what"

"i said it is fine" and stormed off torward my locker

I was now sitting on my living room couch watching "how i met your mother"(note this is my favorite show) Just like my mom ask, i came straight home after school.

                                                                         *RING*RING*RING*

I grabbed my phone from the coffee table and saw i had a text message.

FROM: Mom

Hey sweat heart, sorry I'm stuck at work and wont be coming home anytime soon...but we are having a visitor and i would like you to be on your best behavior.

TO:Mom

It is fine mom, who is the visitor

FROM:Mom

My boss kidded out one of his children and they will be staying with us now.

WAIT, WHAT

Did i read that  right? Me and my mom barely have space for each other in the house is it going to be when we have another human being in this household. She didn't even  say if they were a boy or girl, or even if they are nice i r not. I just hope they dont go to my school.

                                                                          *DING DONG*

I guess this will answer all of my questions. slowly i got up to answer the front door. i turned the knob and you wont believe who was on my front porch.

" what are you doing here" i asked a bit harsher than i thought

Okay so this is my first time writing a book so please take it easy on the comments. I was trying to make this chapter long but I was also trying not to give away too much. How did I do?
