I had never been so happy to return to a party, in all of my life. Everyone stared at us, as I kicked the door shut. The three of us, couldn't stop panting, as we stood there. Sharp pains filled my legs, I was never the most active girl in the world nor the fastest runner, that is until today.
James Franco stared at us, getting himself up from his bubble chair. His eyes were full of curiosity, much like everyone else's. "Are you guys okay?"
Seth's panting slowed. "Are you guys, okay? There was a huge ass earthquake!"
"Did you guys feel it?" I asked, in between gasps of air. Jay shook his head.
"That was insane.." His voice trailed off. Everyone continued to stare at us, clearly they didn't believe us, which was fucking crazy. I knew what we had went through and what, we had witnessed.
James looked around at the party guests surrounding him, before turning back to look at us. A smug smiled radiated across his face. "Fuck no, this place is like a fucking fortress! We didn't feel a thing!"
Jay and I stared at each other, before also exchanging a look with Seth.
"It wasn't a normal earth quake, it was..." My brother's voice trailed off, as he rose his hand up and shaking it, trying to find the words.
"That was something more fucked up." I finished, probably not making the slightest bit of sense. James and I locked eyes for a second.
Craig, who had been silent and beside James the whole time, took a drag from his joint. "How much more can something be?"
Jay blinked his eyes rapidly. "There was...there was blue and white beams coming down from the sky! People were getting sucked up in them!"
Seth and I looked at each other, before looking over at Jay. His face was pale and sweaty; Rogen and I looked back to James and the other party guests. Everybody still looked just as confused.
"Lay off the hallucinogens!" A guy shouted from the crowd. I squinted my eyes at him. It was Aziz Ansari, who plays Tom on Parks and Recreation. I didn't know him too well; the people surrounding him all laughed.
Jonah began to push himself out of the crowd. "Come on guys. Don't bully Jay, he's a sweetheart."
I immediately turned around to see my brother's reaction. He just stared blankly at the curly haired, man.
"Come on man," Jonah urged, "what are you talking about?"
"There-there were people, and they were there, and they got sucked up into the sky!" My brother threw up his arms, for added effect. I nodded my head, slowly agreeing, as his explanation began to jog my memories of the events of the past thirty minutes.
"He's-he's...right." I managed to stutter, my words weakening his statement. Seeing everybody's' eyes roasting me with such humor, didn't make me feel so great. I knew what we had seen, and I would back my brother up. No matter what.
"Sucked up into the sky?" James said, somewhat mocking Jay. His eyes darted around the room, while he also expanded his arms out somewhat gesturing. "Nobody got sucked up here!"
Micheal Cera appeared out of nowhere, at Jonah's side. His eyes were still glossy, yet they were somewhat bright all at once. "I was sucked on, like a popsicle tonight!" He popped up a hand, trying to high five a blonde next to him. The blonde just stared at him, before walking away, shaking her head. Everyone broke out laughing, while I stood there feeling somewhat nauseous. Sip and drip.
"I'm not joking! Even ask Jade and Seth." Jay growled, drawing attention back onto him. He looked over at Seth, who's eyes were darting back and fourth - between the crowd of party goers - and Jay and myself.
