I told Vince i'm going for an urgent work and will be back in about a month's time. Then i grabbed my bag and my laptop and headed out with grandma. "heyy, Isabella, you and i, we're going to have a long talk when you come back", Vince shouted after me. I looked back, rolled my eyes, mouthed a bye and left.

We had a connecting flight to Westinlake and made a quick stop at Newland City. Gran grabbed a couple of files at her house and i headed out to shop for some pretty dresses at the Express Avenue mall. I'd need a lot of them when i go for campaigning. I returned back in time and and we caught the 9 P.M flight to Westinlake. It's a beautiful, sleepy, old town situated all around the beautiful pear shaped laked, with historical monuments, old forts alongside newly opened cafes, little cottage-like homes, and best of all the most friendly (but sometimes really nosey) people you'll find on earth.

The plane touched down at Westinlake airport (which is about 8 k.m. from the main city) at 12 a.m. We got into our old car and i immediately recognized the driver. Why, he was our old family driver, Victor uncle. I remember he used to take me and that guy (why am i suddenly remembering him?) for picnics near the lakeside. "hello, uncle! it's soo nice to see you after a long time", i smiled cheerfully. He looked back surprised and then said, "oh... Baby Isabella! you've grown up... I'm seeing you after so long! Really nice to have you in Westinlake."

In car, grandma told me that we are not actually going to Westinlake. She informed me that we have come here to attend a wedding which will take place in a resort, some 20 kms away from the city. "but why?", i cried back, "i've not come here all the way to attend a stupid wedding!"

"Isabella, behave! we are going to that wedding and it's final. And by the way, all the big shots of the country's politics are attending, and so we'll get to know who'll exactly get to contest the elections from Westinlake!", gran replied calmly.

While, I freaked out. "what do you mean, is it not confirmed that you are standing for the elections?", i asked exasperated. She dragged me out here without even confirming the news. Arghh...

"keep quiet, Isabella, you talk a lot, let me rest", and with that she closed her eyes and snored on.

Stupid, Idiot, Naive Isabella, you let yourself into the circus, now bear with it for a month.. at least!! Life can be a bitch... I sighed thinking about what else is in store while looking out through the car window at the moonlit countryside.
