~Layla's POV~
Great. I sat on the weird couch being stared at by a really hot guy. But why would I even give him a second glance? He has a million tattoos and his nose has a ring through it... Do girls really find that attractive?
I looked up as another one comes stumbling in with Mac behind him. He is being so loud and annoying and Mac just loves it. She's so weird sometimes.. Hes being an idiot.
I look up at the one, who said his name is Denis, he's still looking at me carefully. Why is he staying? Oh yeah.. Cheerleader sitting in a metal band's tour bus. Yeah. That's why. I look at Mac and she is so happy. I don't want to rain on her parade. She's been so strong for me. I don't mind sitting it out a few hours. It's better than sitting at home.
I shift and look back at my phone. I keep getting emails from people my parents were close with. They keep wishing me well, and saying its awful how they passed. Yeah. I know. Thanks. I just want to be left alone.
The bus went quiet and I hear the door click shut. I glance up and everyone is gone. Well, everyone except Denis. I look at him and kinda look away again, forgetting he still didn't know my name.
"And you are?" He asked. His voice was so deep, he was foreign obviously, but from where? I couldn't out my finger on it...
"Oh.. I'm um, um. I'm Layla," I stammered quietly. Why was I so weird? I never usually do this around guys. But he simply smiled and kept watching me.
"So you got dragged here with a friend?" He asked. I nodded and paused. Wait. How did he know that?
"Yeah. How'd you know?" He smirked.
"Well seeing how uncomfortable you seem to be, it kinda spoke for itself," he said it so sweetly, not rude and smartass- like. Just sweet. I smiled a little and nodded.
"Yeah, she loves you guys, if you can't tell. I heard one or two if your songs. I thought they were well done." I said getting ahold of my words again. He smiled at that, but I didn't want to say much more. I didn't want to offend him by breaking it to him I never liked this type of music. But when he was singing I melted. His voice was amazing, and I never said that..
"Well thank you, we try," he smiled at me, almost trying to look into my soul. Normally I would have been creeped out, but he was so different. He was a distraction I was willing to have around.
"Well tell me about yourself" he spoke like he was singing. Making me melt all over again. I shifted uncomfortably again though. I did not want to talk about me.. I shrugged and watched him.
"What about you, Denis? You must have a cool life. Bring a rock star and all," I said it with a lot of confidence but I really had none.
He smirked at my comment and sat up straighter. "Well. I'm from Ukraine. And Ben, the loud guy running through here, asked me to join the band." He nodded at me as I nodded keeping up with his words. "Your turn." He said his brown eyes watching my every move.
I took a deep breath and looked down. "I'm from a small town here in Washington, I lived with my parents until two months ago when they passed away.." I trailed off and took a deep breathe and looked at him. "I turn 18 today and I am on the cheer team. Macy, the friend with.. Uh.. Ben? She dragged me here to get me out of the house.." I muttered most of what I said. But I at least said it. His eyes were wide and fill of sympathy. Crap..
"I am so so sor-" I cut him off and shook my head.
"Don't. I don't want the sympathy." I was blunt and came out harsher than I wanted it too. Oh well, to late now.
He nodded and I shifted more. "Sorry," I whispered and started flipping my phone around in my hands. I needed to distract myself from his glorious brown eyes. He was so handsome. I could barely look at him without thinking about kissing him. I have never thought about stuff like that... Ever.
He worked up a smile and gazed at me. But in those moments, time stretched and what felt like forever was interrupted by the door opening back up.
"Show time Denis baby!" The guy from early yelled. Ben, that's his name. I looked at Denis and back at the door. He nodded and looked back to me from his band mate.
"How would you like to stand side stage?" He said it kindly, almost like he wanted me around, but I knew he was just being nice. I smiled a little and nodded.
"Sure," he smiled back and got up, woah he's tall. Over six feet. Compared to me, he was a giant. I got up and followed him back into the building. Macy stood talking to another guy. I immediately linked my arm with hers and the boys ran into stage.

~Denis' POV~
I sang my heart out on stage. And it was honestly for her. For Layla. She was beautiful and so different. But I couldn't think about that. I had a girlfriend. But Layla was so interesting.
When I got off the stage I saw her friend, Macy? Macy. Hugging the other guys. She stood watching me to the side. I stepped over to her and hugged her. She didn't even complain, stop me, or push me away. She wrapped her tiny arms around me and laid her head on my chest. It was like magic. I stood and held her for what only felt like seconds until the guys were pulling me away.
Her eyes showed everything and it was sorrow. I released her and Mac was back at her side trying to talk to her, but Layla ignored her and held eye contact with me. I didn't want to leave her..
~A few Hours Later~
I stepped out of the tour bus kicking myself for letting the guys drag me away from Layla when I heard her voice.
"Denis?" It was soft but it was her. I turn and see her shifting uncomfortably on the other side of the fence. I walk to her quickly and climb the fence. Up and over and landing on the ground beside her.
"I thought you already left," I said and hugged her. She shook her head.
"No I couldn't. Earlier was.. Was.." She trailed off and shook her head not able to pick the right words to say.
"Layla come get dinner with me, we can talk somewhere warmer." I said smiling down at her. Her eyes brightened up as she nodded.
She was something else. I slid my hand into hers and lead her towards all the restaurants near the venue.
