Leah's POV

After reaching Florida, I took a taxi to Lakeshore Academy. It took 2 hours to reach the boarding school. I was almost there and I was getting nervous.

No matter how many times you've gone to a school, you feel uneasy before the starting of a new school year. Or at least that's what I felt. Let alone, it was the beginning of a new year in a new boarding school. And I was bullied by my fellow classmates all my life. I could literally feel my nerves in my stomach.

My nervousness was brought to a halt when the taxi driver spoke up,

"We're already in front of your school, miss." I turned around to look at the school building through the window and I found myself gawking at the sight. I was stunned to silent after seeing the magnificent building in front of me. No, actually three buildings not one.

Standing in the middle was the tallest building. It was painted with white and sky blue like the other two. But by the look of it, I could say that it was the main building. The other buildings were little small in size but held their stance. The buildings weren't what shocked me, it was the garden right in front with a beautiful fountain right in the middle.

This school was built for rich students. So I kind of felt out of place by looking at it since I was an orphan and nowhere near rich. But at the same time, it looked warm and welcoming with so many students hanging around. Some were with their parents who came to see them off while others were hugging and greeting their friends as if they hadn't talked in years. This also increased my uneasiness since I neither had a parent with me nor any friend there...

Again, I was brought out of my reverie by the clearing of the driver's throat. I sheepishly looked at him and he gave me a slight smile saying, "You don't need to worry, child. A pretty girl like you will surely find their place in this school."

Pretty girl, my ass. I thought but replied with, "I sure as hell hope so." Handed him his money and jumped off the car while he handed me my two luggages.

With my backpack behind me and my luggages in my hands, I started walking towards one of the smaller buildings which had 'OFFICE' written in it.

Once I was safely inside the office room, I was blinded by lights. People were roaming around and chatting. I walked towards the lady who was sitting at a desk and gave her my name. She looked a few years older than me and the dress she was wearing was too revealing which made her look like a hooker. Her name tag said 'Miss Jones'. Miss Jones asked me, "You are the girl who's on scholarship?" gave me a once over and wrinkled her nose.

"Uh-huh. Can I get my room number, time-table and map?" I asked.

She handed me some papers and told me, "'216' is your number" and motioned me to leave my luggages at the side of my desk and snottily said, "You'll get these soon in you room."

As I was leaving, I saw her moving her dress a little to show more cleavage and flirt with the guy who was now standing at my place. And the way she was smiling meant that he was happily flirting back. "Gross." I muttered under my breath and turned around to go and find my way to the dorms but instead bumped into a girl.

"Omg! I'm so sorry."she apologized. She was a really pretty girl with curly blond hair and hazel eyes. She seemed sincere while apologizing and that only meant that she was friendly too but I wasn't getting my hopes up cuz I knew there was very little chance of her befriending me.

"No. I wasn't looking while walking. So, sorry."

"It's alright. You look lost and I don't think I've seen you before."

"Yeah, I'm new. I'm here on scholarship actually." I responded.

"Wow. That must mean you are a genius! I'm not at all good at my studies. And don't worry. I'll show you around. We've been attending Lakeshore Academy since middle school!" She exclaimed.
