Charlotte's POV
I hate all of these dumb assembly's that my school has once a month. They are always about bullying and about how when you are bullied you should report it to someone. But we all know that that doesn't work at all.
3 minutes later at the assembly...
"So what is the reason why you are having such a bad day today? Ava said
"Well... Basically I woke up..." Ava cut me off here.
"Yea yea.. Blah blah... Get to the new stuff!" Ava said
"Alright I know Ava. So I went downstairs to get my breakfast and it wasn't ready for me when I was down there and it usually is. I thought that was pretty weird so I asked my mom why it wasn't. So then she said that my father had a business emergency to attend early with her help. I didn't want to talk about it so I just ran to the bus."
"This sounds pretty weird, but maybe your father had to go to work early because someone was out today so he had to fill in for them. I mean i don't think that many people still are into film editing so your father was just probably filled in for someone that was sick." Said Ava.
"I think you're right. It sounds like this has happened before too..." I was cut off by the school principal.
"Charlotte come with me to the office your parents are here to talk to you."
Great I wonder what could happen now. So now I just walk down to the office with my principal and as we get there I see my parents sitting in there with a disappointed look. For a second I thought it was about my grades or dance class but it didn't feel like that. I sit down with my parents and we start to talk about what might ruin my day...
"Hey mom and dad, why are you both here right now?"
"Charlotte we have something to explain to you. I should have told you this, this morning but I was thinking it was too early and I had to take care of your sister. Her fever did
get better but this is not what it's about. Remember how I said your father had a business emergency this morning?"I shook my head very worried.
"Well your father got a promotion!!!"
Wait... It gets worse after this.
"Also, we will be moving to New Jersey tomorrow!!"
My heart sunk and I cried in pain. I didn't know if these were tears of joy or tears of sadness. I'm happy to leave this dumb town, but I don't want to leave the wonderful home I live in. And I especially don't want to leave Ava. I don't know how I will tell her this. I'm just glad I didn't wear makeup today or I would look like a raccoon right about now...
"Sweetie aren't you proud of your father?"
"Yes but what about our home and Ava!?"
"Well we already took a trip to get a new home and bought it, but you just have to learn how to make friends in a new school."
Great, meeting more people. Just what I love to do. Especially since I can't even make friends even where I am now. I will never get anywhere in my life. I quickly hugged my parents goodbye and wiped off all of my tears. After a few minutes I calmed down and went back to the assembly right next to Ava in the back.
