June literally dragged Frankie from the bathroom, straight into an absolutely, excessively huge, blue and white bedroom. "Why the hell did you freak out so much about talking to Charlie?" June asked with the hint of a smirk. "I... I think I like her, shes just like... so absolutely... magnificent!" Frankie shyly answered. "I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!" June beamed, hugging the now giggling Frankie. "I think she likes you! You should go talk to her! You never know, she might be gay, or bi, like you! Opposites attract and you two are definitely so so different!" June smiled, gripping Frankie's shoulders. "Oh, no. Oh, no, no, no, no, no! That entire opposites attract thing is completely untrue! False!" Frankie babbled, "And I will NOT talk to her! I already made a big enough fool of myself before! Oh, how embarrassing" June tried to hide a laugh as Frankie's face went the colour of a tomato. "Oh, I am sure she didn't even notice." June mocked. "Hey!" Frankie laughed.
After Frankie and June gossiped about Charlie, well Frankie swooned over Charlie and June tried not to die of laughter, they left the big room, partly because two half naked people burst out of the ensuite while trying to tear off the little clothes they had on. June was sure the couple was Millie and her fling but she didn't care to check. The girls walked straight to the front door as the music boomed from the lounge. "Those walls must be extremely thick for us to have not heard that music playing!" Frankie pointed out. "Actually, yeah you're right!" June laughed. The girls got to the huge front door, its lock system was far more advanced than the girls' dorm door. They spent a while figuring out how to unlock it and struggled to pull it open. They laughed and turned back to look back in at the rowdy group of teens. "Bubye!" Frankie yelled, her voice disappearing into the music.
The girls walked arm in arm out the door and into the sun. Wait, the sun? "It was snowing just before!" June bent down to touch the ground. "Its dry as bone!" June exclaimed. "What the hell is going on?" Frankie cried, bringing her hands to her face. They walked around the perimeter of the dorm. "Not a single cold spot." June gasped. The two looked up, the sky was white, not a cloudy white, just plain white with no gaps or edges. "Why is the sky like that?" Frankie asked. "Oh, I don't know Frankie, I have seen just as much as you have!" June snapped. Suddenly there was a bright flash, which coloured the sky a blood red. "What was that June?" Frankie shrieked. "Fire." June exclaimed. "FIRE?!" Frankie shouted, "I am terrified of fire!" A group of boys that neither June nor Frankie had met before ran out of the door of the dorm. "What the HELL is going on out here?!" A tall, buff guy with a little bit of stubble bellowed. "Fire! There is a sky in the fire! A sky in the damn fire!" Frankie gushed. "I mean, fire in the sky! There isn't supposed to be any fire in the sky but the sun and stars!" The gang of guys looked up, their eyes became filled with fear, and they ran straight back inside the dorm screaming "Fire!"
The music stopped and more people flooded outside, yelling and pushing. Something moved in the faded orange sky, then suddenly there was a loud bang and the sky became the blood red colour again. "Bombs!" June exclaimed. "They are bombs! Everyone get back to your own dorms! Hurry up!" Everyone rushed away as fast as they could, spreading out in all directions. More loud bangs rattled the sky, most of them far away. "Lets go, Frankie." June ordered. "Way ahead of you, Junie!" Frankie shouted as she ran in the direction of their dorm. June managed a smile and sprinted after her.
The girls got back to the dorm which was filled with the glorious sound of vomiting. "Hey Millie! How are you going?" June yelled, absolutely cracking up. The vomiting ceased. "How do you think?!" Millie shouted in a husky voice before continuing the vomiting. Frankie and June both chuckled before separating off to go to their separate rooms. June decided to go to bed so she got dressed into her night clothes, knocked on the bathroom door to try get into the bathroom to wash her face and hands before deciding to just go wash herself in the kitchen sink and then, finally, actually climbed into bed. She closed her eyes and tried to drown out all of her senses but all that she could hear was the bombs and the vomiting. She rolled over and pressed the pillow tightly over her ears, lessening the force of the sounds on her eardrums. Frankie on the other hand decided that she would read. She knew she wouldn't be able to sleep, she was too scared of what was to come. While June dreamed of bombs and the war that will soon go on, Frankie didn't get to sleep at all during the long night, but that did not reduce her fears in the least.
