A/N;

Hey guys this is my first ever 5SOS fanfic, so don't murder me if any facts are wrong or anything. I hope you enjoy it! Oh and I switched around a few things for the sake of the story, so just play along :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I walked through the hallways of my school for the very last time, clinging to every memory that I made there. I touched my locker, walking through that very hallway once more as I touched my graduation cap, realizing that it was all coming to an end right now. I walked into the auditorium, waiting for my name to be called as my fellow classmates walked across the stage.
"Nina Hewitt," my principal called my name, motioning for me to come over and grab my diploma. I heard my parents scream from the crowd as I crossed the stage, grabbing my diploma and shaking my principal's hand as I exited back to my seat. I looked to my left and to my right, realizing that everyone was leaving now and we would probably never see each other again. Just as the thought crossed my mind, my principal walked to the microphone again.
"And to the Class of 2013, will you please rise?" she spoke as all of us rose, just as we rehearsed. "I would like to congratulate every single one of you for your amazing achievement. Please move your tassels from right to left." All of us moved our tassels and threw our caps into the air, signifying that we had successfully completed our high school years and were moving on to bigger and better things.
My blonde, curled hair had a bit of a "cap head" from my graduation cap, but it didn't matter since I had to put it back on for pictures anyway. I placed my cap on my head, posing for a few pictures as my best friend, Lacey, came running over to me. "We finally did it!" she screamed, pulling me into a hug as our families snapped pictures of us together. "Now we can finally move in together!"
I smiled and nodded, we were from Sydney, a city in Australia and we were finally able to leave our parents and buy our own home. We had been planning this for years. Lacey was a year older than me, her being 18 and myself only being 17, but we were extremely close no matter what. She had medium length, auburn hair that was naturally wavy and beautiful. I was envious of her hair, but mine was pretty as well. Her eyes were a duller brown, whereas mine were a sparkling blue that dazzled in the sunlight.
"Where's your boyfriend?" I asked, looking around to find Luke, Lacey's boyfriend and my best friend throughout all of high school. She just shrugged as a figure popped up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist.
"Congrats," Luke's Australian accent shone through as he pecked a kiss on his girlfriend's lips. I smiled and hugged him, congratulating him as well as we all left the ceremony. We all drove back to Lacey's house, where she was having a bit of a party for her friends who graduated. "The rest of the crew should be here soon," Luke said. The "crew," or what we liked to call it, was just a name that we gave to Luke's bandmates.
Their names were Ashton, Calum and Michael and we were all pretty friendly considering the fact that we were always hanging around with Luke. "So, how does it feel to be old?" Michael's voice rang from behind me as he picked me up, making me squeal a bit. He laughed and hugged me, "Congrats, little sis." He always referred to me as a little sister, though I don't really know why.
"Hey, save a little Nina for me!" Calum screamed, running over to hug me. Calum, Michael and Ashton had all graduated the year before, which is why they weren't in the ceremony with Luke, Lacey and I. I hugged Calum tightly as someone else came behind me, tickling my sides. Ashton.
"Congrats, love," he said, smiling and giving me the biggest hug out of all of the boys. I smiled and hugged him back tighter, smiling wildly. "So now what are you going to do?" he asked, raising his eyebrows. I shrugged, I didn't know what kind of career I wanted to pursue yet.
"You still have a while to figure that out," Luke chimed in, his hand practically glued to Lacey's waist. I giggled, they were such a cute couple. "This party is great," Luke said, smiling at his girlfriend who was beaming.
"Yeah, it really is amazing, thanks for inviting us," Calum said, smiling and grabbing a drink from the table. Ashton grabbed my arm, pulling me with him somewhere.
"Where are we going?" I asked, looking in the direction where Ashton was taking me. He didn't say a word, he just kept tugging me along to wherever he was going. We came across a lake that was across the street from Lacey's house. "What are we doing here?" I asked, looking at my friend that I feel like I've known forever.
"I know you're probably wondering why I brought you here," he began, "but there's something that I've wanted to tell you for a while." I stood there while he gathered his thoughts, waiting for whatever he was going to say.
"Hey you two, come back to the party!" Michael screamed, breaking the moment apart as we went back to Lacey's house. Ashton and I walked back as I noticed a familiar car in Lacey's driveway. This couldn't be happening. I ran into the house, looking around for who I thought was there.
