Russia panted as he quickly ran through the woods. He squeezed his eyes shut as sounds from the latest war resonated through his head with each crunch on snow. 'I won't hurt him. I won't!'

Alfred and Katyusha quickly ran after Ivan. "Where is he going?"

"I don't know...where he normally goes when he tries to avoid things I guess." Katyusha called out for Ivan. She just wanted to know he wasn't going to hurt himself again.

Ivan shook his head and tripped slightly only to get back up and continued running. Not realizing that his scarf had gotten caught on the branch of a tree and had removed itself from his neck. Leaving the bandages free for the world to see.

Alfred heard Katyusha slip and fall so he stopped to help her up but paused when he heard her crying. "Hey, you're not hurt, are you?"

She shook her head. "No... I'm just worried about my little brother."

Alfred helped her stand up. "We'll bring him back, don't worry." Alfred didn't realize it but saying that held a deeper meaning for Katyusha.

"I hope we do... " 'Or he'll be trapped in the darkness forever.' Katyusha then found Ivan's scarf. This wasn't good. They kept running, following Ivan.

Ivan panted as he stood at the edge of the woods. The tundra spread out before him. He panted and shook his head. He gripped it and sunk to his knees. "Go away. Go away. GO AWAY!"

Katyusha and Alfred soon spotted Ivan. She looked at Alfred. "Stay here... I don't know how he'll act around you." Katyusha then ran over to Ivan and hugged him tightly. "Vanya! Calm down.."

Alfred watched from the distance. This felt familiar. He gasped as it suddenly hit him. He went through the same thing, only Russia couldn't control it.

Russia shook his head and quickly moved away from her. "Stay back!" He gripped his head and walked out onto the tundra. "Just leave me alone...."

"But...we'll figure this out. You'll get better, little brother!" she was holding onto the scarf he'd lost. "We'll find somebody who knows how to fix this...I just want my little brother back. Vanya would not want to hurt people."

Ivan growled at her. His eyes red. "LEAVE!" He grimaced and walked further away from her.

She hiccuped from trying to not cry. "Little brother...at least take your scarf.......please."

This was painful to watch. Alfred wasn't even sure what could be done. He hasn't seen it this bad before. He rubbed his face. Well...triggers would be a good place to start. He stood up and walked out onto the tundra.

Ivan's eyes caught sight of the American. He sneared then gritting his teeth as he looked away. "Just leave it and leave Katyusha.....please.....for my sake.....I don't want you to see me like this...."

"I've seen you much worse than this, little brother. Just believe me, it will get better...just please...don't stay out here where General Winter can get to you..."

Alfred wasn't quite sure that it was a dark half that was plaguing Ivan. But he did know that it needed to be controlled before it got any worse and there was no way to bring Ivan out of it.

Ivan shook his head. "Please Katyusha. It's my demon. Not yours." He kept his face away from America and Ukraine. "If I face General Winter then I face him. Let me battle my own demons."

"... Alfred." Alfred knew that meant knock out the Russian. He pulled out his pistol and shot Ivan in the back of the knee. Katyusha looked away. "Sorry, little brother..."

Ivan growled and glared at him as he went down to one knee. His eyes were wild and red. "Ublyudok. Khorosho. Vy khotite, chtoby borot'sya, to davayte borot'sya.*" He got up and rushed Alfred. He pinned him down easily. His eyes switched back and forth from red to violet. He placed the pistol under his chin. He leaned in close to Alfred's face. "Shoot. I won't stop....and I don't want to hurt you....not again..."

"...Then stop letting Soviet Russia take you over. This is much worse than how i had it." Alfred frowned then placed his pistol to Ivan's temple. "Good thing we heal then." he pulled the trigger. That would render Ivan unconscious for a while.

Ivan went limp and fell to the side. Blood staining the snow.
