Amelia's p.o.v

Today was the day where everyone was coming home. I couldn't sleep last night what so ever, all I could think about was them, Draco and all my friends. Finally. Finally. I gulped waiting in the great hall for everyone, waiting for the doors to open. My stomach was full of butterflies. I popped in to see Snape this morning, and he wished me luck with Draco, who hasn't been writing to me, that little bitch. We had another little talk and are still trying to get to know each other, but I still can't face the fact that he is my father.

The doors opened and my stomach felt like it just exploded, my heart was beating faster than ever before. My friends charged towards me, they all tried to hug me at once causing me to be crushed to death. I was in a pool of screams and love, I giggled and hugged them individually.

"We missed you loser" Audrey giggled.

"I missed you losers too." I said looking around, for one other person. Draco.

"Did you hear about the ball!" Harriet asked

"Sure did, already have my dress!" I smirked.

"How dare you, How?!" Becky yelled.

"We were supposed to go get them together!" Petra sighed.

"I got bored, went shopping in Diagon ally, I found out about it a while ago." I lied. I couldn't tell them about Snape, he told me not to say anything to anyone, only Draco.

"It's okay but you better help us with our dresses."

"Of course!"

"You're going to be trying it on tonight for us, we need to approve." Audrey giggled.

"I wearing it whether you like it or not, but you will love it...don't worry." I winked.

"Guessing your date is your lover boy Draco." Becky smiled.

"I'm guessing so, If I mean he wants to...Where is he?"

"I didn't see him on the train, but that thing is packed, he is probably around here somewhere."

I looked around and there was no sign of that beautiful bleach blonde hair. I ran up to his asshole friends, Crabbe and Goyle. He wasn't with them. "Do you know where he is?"

They smirked knowing exactly who I was talking about, and shook their heads. "He wasn't on the train, probably died not like I care, he fell for you a muggle born!" I couldn't really mention that i am really a half-blood now.

"He wasn't?"

They laughed and I rolled my eyes and walked off. I ran around and asked a few ore people, they all said the same thing. My face was getting hot, and I was stressing. I ran to Snape's office and closed the door a little tear dripped down my cheek. "Everyone is saying he is gone!"

"I just heard, we are sending people to his house now, we need to make sure he is still.... alive"

I stood back, the word alive hurt. Why are people questioning it? That couldn't happen, it's not true. I'm not going to believe it. But it could be true. I gulp back my tears and stood up straighter, he will come back, and he will be my date to the ball, and everything is going to be okay. So I thought.

Days pasted.

Still no Draco. I have sent him about thirty letters, and he hasn't replied to any of them.
I have gotten no sleep and I feel absolutely terrible. Both him and the whole Snape and Lily thing, is just stuffing me up. I haven't had decent sleep in two weeks, and I'm so sick of it. I have ignored all of my friends and just stayed in my bed crying.

Today was the first day that we were going to practice for the ball. People from other schools should be arriving any minute now. I have no idea who to dance with now that Draco isn't here. Everyone ran to the window pointing at the sky, heading towards Hogwarts was a carriage and there were seven beautiful white horses carrying that carriage. It looked like something off of a fairytale. Hagrid gathered us all up and lead us into the great hall. I went over and sat in Draco's usual spot, abandoning my friends completely. They understand what I'm going through, but I think they are getting a little frustrated by all my mood swings. People were glancing over to me. I pulled my legs close to my body and rested my head on my knees ,more tears escaping my eyes. I heard giggles around me and comments about  'A Slytherin crying.'

The doors crashed open and I looked up shocked. In walked beautiful buff looking boys. One of them smiled and winked at me as he pasted causing me to blush uncontrollably, making my day a little better for a moment.  He looked up again and ran over to me.  "Var you okay?" He asked in his beautiful accent. I shook my head. Well I wasn't going to lie. He gave me a small hug and a kiss on hand. "We can valk later  if you vwant at six? And vaybe you can be vy dance partner today?" It's hard to understand him, but I nodded.

"I'm Viktor Krum" he said with a smug smile.

"Nice to meet you I'm Amelia."

"Beautiful." He said and walked away. My friends were looking at me with wide eyes and jealously. As well as the other girls on the table. They all got introduced, then a bunch of beautiful girls came waltzing in and all the boys were drooling, I'm pretty sure I even saw saliva falling out of Goyle's mouth. Once they were introduced we were all lead to a room where we were to practice dancing, a lot of the people already know from the previous years, but I had no skills what so ever. Krum walked up to me and held out his hand and he pulled me close to him.

"I can't dance."

"I vill help.'" he whispered into my ear through my hair, I felt his hot breathe against my neck, but there was nothing no spark, no connection, not like Draco.
