Gino walks at the aisle heading to Fushimi's apartment to deliever some information about Aisaka's progress of recovery. He looked at the side mirror of the car near him and saw 3 people following him. He prepared his spear and evaded a boomerang from one of the suspicious people. A man in cloak appeared in front of him. "Good morning, Gino. I am here to fetch you back. Stop the coziness with Aisaka and we'll go with the original plan", Asahi removed his hood. "I was about to tell you...", Gino swung his spear pushing the rest of the Strains away. "The loyalty I vowed to you before is already broken", Gino looked at Asahi with fire in his eyes. "So bad, you wanted to end up like Mikoshiba?", Asahi asked. "I already decided to chose this path", Gino prepared to advance but Asahi created a barrier of chains. "Gino... For you to choose your path is something unusual. For someone like you who was bored to death", Asahi laughed. "Too bored to death that you volunteered to be your Father's testing guinea pig. In the end, you are a failure of a full vessel of the Slate", Asahi reminded. "Gino. Tell me, how is that girl with you and Aisaka? Is she still alive? The only reason why you continued this far is because of her, right. What was her name? Erina?", Asahi had a smirk on his face. After a while, a girl in blindfold was sent by another Strain. "You wont go away with this", Erina struggled to remove the chains on her hand. "Say, I love watching love story. I love to watch them torn apart", Asahi pushed a knife on Erina's kneck which made blood flow on the piece of metal. "Stop!", Gino shouted. "What do you want?", Gino asked. "We'll go to our original plan, Gino. Join hands with me again", Asahi reached out his hand. "Gino? Is that you? Dont listen to this man's poisonous words", Erina still struggles to remove the chains. "You know how hurt Aisaka is", Erina reminded. "Oh... So this will be a seen where in you'd be sacrificing one. You're out of gases, arent you? I can offer you immortal powers like the Colorless King", Asahi hummed. "Gino...what was the original plan?", Erina asked. "I'll be the one to present it", Asahi removed the blindfold. Erina looked at Gino's sad eyes. "This guy...made a pact with me. Due to his boredness, he vowed to participate to my masterpiece. It wasnt an accident that the slate was planted between me and Aisaka. It was he who separated the two. I cannot manage the Slate alone. Once my body goes back to its recovered state. That's the time I can unite with Aisaka's Slate. In other words, she's just a container while Im waiting for my recovery. Gino planted an automatic shut down for Aisaka", Asahi explained. A block of ice fell in between the three. "Sorry for being rude", Fushimi entered the scene. "Nice meeting you, black king's first clansman. I am also here to offer you a membership for my army", Asahi held out his hand. Fushimi clicked his tongue. "I dont really understand what is happening but what I know is that you are the enemy", Fushimi swiped his hands and froze the ground. Asahi clapped his hands. "That is the only flame I cannot get a grip of", Asahi chuckled. "Gino-san, dont just stand there. Erina-san is in front of you. She's frustrated and you need to explain things to her", Nami also went at Fushimi's back. Gino smiled and threw the spear to Asahi. It hit his stomach but he regenarated. Gino grabbed Erina's hand and created a fog of illusion. They were able to escape. They end up at Ashinaka High.

"Gino, after everything...are you going to throw it away?", Erina asked. "Who said so?", Gino fell on his knees. "I was just reminded of a foolish thing I did before", Gino punched the ground. "That was the original plan but...as I go with you, I think I finally found meaning of my life", Gino shook his head. "Are there are way to remove the automatic shutting down in Shinoa?", Fushimi asked. "I am afraid, there are none", Gino bit his lips. "You can kill me afterwards but give me the chance to payback. I will do my best, even in the last drop of my blood, to assist Aisaka's wish", Gino begged. Erina also knelt down and caressed Gino's face. "Just kidding. I am Aisaka's psychologist and her constant listener. She once told me that pact with you and Asahi. Still...he trusted you and treated you like one of us", Erina informed. Gino's tears are falling. "Still...he trusted..me?", Gino burrowed his face on his hands. "There is nothing we can do now but support her the best that we can", Erina suggested. Nami looked at Fushimi and already read the situation. For Aisaka to die, is inevitable. "She'll die anyways", Fushimi mumbled. Weisman saw them and approached the rest. Gino and Erina reported everything. Fushimi and Nami walked around the Campus. "You're intimidatingly quiet", Nami commented. "In the end, she'd end up dying", Fushimi sighed. "Stop thinking that way. There will always be a way. The Weisman and the others are already discussing about it", Nami lectured. "I just dont understand why she has to be the one who always needs to be sacrificed", Fushimi opened. "Dont think that way. Just spend the time with her", Nami raised her voice. "When you love someone, you'll cherish every moment you are with her. You would keep in mind that there is always a limit and in result, you'll make the best of it", Nami lectured. "I didnt say that I love...", Fushimi was cut by Nami. "You love her. Dont deny", Nami looked straight into his eyes. "Talking as if you tried to fall in love with someone who has a high possibility of disappearing", Fushimi clicked his tongue. "I do. I know that one day, he'll disappear from my sight", Nami averted her eyes and walked away.
And that's her fate. Will she really die?
