What Are They Hiding?

Stile's POV

I can't believe it. She liked me. I'm not super hot or strong and she STILL liked me.

I got ready after school, and Scott came over til time to pick up Bethany. I lest at ten til eight even though she lived right next door. I knocked on the door and her mother answered. "Hey Stiles come on in. She'll be ready in a second." I walked in and stood beside the door waiting for her. "Thanks, Mrs.Foster!" "Call me Rebekah, Stiles" Then she came down the stairs. She looked stunning. She was wearing tan oxfords with a floral dress and her hair wavy. "You look amazing" I said. "You don't look so bad yourself" She replied smiling.

We headed for my Jeep and i opened the door for her like a gentleman should. On our way she was our DJ controlling the radio. Then radioactive came on and we both said in sync, " I LOVE THIS SONG!" We both sucked at singing, but even when busting my eardrums she looks beautiful. We got there around 8:30 and i got the shoes while she went to pick up our drinks. We then met up at lane four and began putting on our shoes. "You know, I am kinda terrible at bowling" she said. I came to her ear and whispered, "Wanna know a secret? I do too." She laughed and we started bowling.

After She threw three consecutive gutter balls, I went up and took her arm and guided it in the direction of the pins. It knocked down four pins and she yelled, "YES!" And turned around hugging me. After all the excitement was over, she was still standing there hugging me, staring at my eyes then my lips. "Thank you" She whispered. "Anytime." When we were done bowling we went to a photo strip booth beside the arcade. The first one we smiled. The second one we made stupid faces. The third one we frowned. And unintentionally, On the fourth photo, We were just staring at each other. Enjoying each others company. We got out and picked up the two copies. "I love this one" She said pointing at the last one. "So do I" I replied. We walked out, hand-in-hand, and there sitting in the parking lot was Derek's car. What was he doing here? Bethany was too focused on the photo strip to notice him. I will not let him near her. The less of the mythical side of this town she sees, the safer she will be.

When we got to her house, I walked her to her front door and she embraced in a hug. "Thanks Stiles" She said. "Thanks for accompanying me Beths" Really Stiles 'Beths'! She walked in and her mother stopped me before i left, "Would you like to have dinner with us and Bethany's cousin tomorrow?" "I would love to Mrs.Fost...I mean Rebekah." Bethany never mentioned having a cousin in Beacon Hills... 

Bethany's POV:

AHHH I AM SO EXCITED! I get to see my cousin Derek today. I haven't seen him in four years! We used to do everything together. He was like the brother I never had.

Stiles, Derek, My mother, and I are having dinner together tonight so i got up and took a shower, got dressed, and did my hair and make-up. I decided to take a walk in the woods because i had ALOT of time to kill.

Everything was so calm and peaceful. The sun was out, life was good, and..crack!" I was interrupted by the sound of talking and sticks cracking. Someone was coming. I went and hid behind some large bushes, my head peaking out so i could see. It was Derek.. With Stiles? And Scott McCall? I couldn't hear anything so i decided to approach them. "Hey Guys!" I yelled. They all looked utterly shocked to see me. "Hey Bethany" Derek replied finally. Stiles had a face of massive confusion. "Stile have you met my cousin...Derek?" I said. Scott and Stiles' jaws dropped. "I guess you could say we see each other once in a blue moon." Stiles replied,still shocked. Derek glared at him. Scott couldn't control his laughter. We all started walking together, Me beside Derek and Stiles and Scott a half mile behind us. " YOU LIKE HIM!" He said breaking the silence and picking on me. I punched him and he said, " It's ok, Mrs. Stilinski!" I tackled him to the ground shutting him up. "It's hard to believe but I missed you being a pain in my ass." I said. I missed you too, Beths" He replied. We sat there in a comfortable silence until we heard the boys catching up. "We better get up, Your man's almost here. Derek said helping me up. I punched him in the arm and pointed to Scott and said "Looks like your man's almost here too!". "He lifted me off my feet and carried me to the guys and put me in Stiles' arms and said "You take her, She's starting to get on my nerves." I couldn't control my laughter. Gosh I am so glad to have Derek back.

Derek stayed back to talk to Scott while me and Stiles walked alone holding hands. "So if your Derek's cousin does that mean your a..." I cut him off. "No, I am not a natural brunette, We are cousins by marriage not bloodline." He looked like he was expecting another answer to a different question, but went along with it anyways. "Well I happen to love your strawberry-blond hair." He replied. "Why thank you."

I went to Derek and told him Stiles was going to walk me home and he whispered, "Be careful, Mrs.Stilinski." I punched him in the stomach. Stiles looked clueless, But Scott was doubled over laughing. Did he hear Derek?

Once we arrived at my house, We sat on two swings attached to an old oak. "So how do you know Derek?" I asked looking into his eyes. "Ummm...At a party." He replied. His eyes dilated. He just lied to me. "You're lying" I replied not holding back. He looked genuinely shocked. "Why do you think that?" He asked. "Your eyes, They dilated when you said it" I replied getting angrier by the minute. I waited for him to say something, but he didn't. I finally got to mad to stay out there and stormed in. He chased after me, but I was too fast. I went up to my room and just...cried. Why do I feel like everyone is hiding something from me? How did he really know Derek? And why did he have to hide it? I knew one thing: At dinner tonight i will get some answers.
