It was the same shit everyday. You wake up and see the tormenting messages on your phone. How did they even get my number anyway?! You think to yourself with a sigh as you don't even bother to scroll through them. Why would you? They are the same everyday. Begrudgingly, you begin to get up out of bed, swinging your legs over the edge. You sat for a moment, rubbing the sleep from your eyes thinking about how much you really despised high school. Only 1 more year after this. I can make it. You thought and pushed yourself up off your bed and into the bathroom. Gazing at yourself in the mirror you sighed at the appearance. Your hair was slightly disheveled and your eyes looked just the a little bit more dull than they had the previous day.

"I don't want to go. Do I have to?" You spoke aloud, lowering your head so all you could see was the sink and white tiled floor, your hair also shrouding your face.

"Don't want to go where?" A voice behind you startled you, causing you to jump and whirl around. Your eyes widened at the sight of the angel in your bathroom.

"Damn it, Castiel! How many times have I told you not to do that! And seriously, not in my bathroom! I could've been naked!" You reprimanded, pushing your hair from your face in a small act of frustration. You watched the angel's cheeks flush red from the mentioning on you being naked and he quickly averted his gaze.

"I am sorry (Y/N)." He said after a moment. "I will not do it again."

A small scoff escaped your lips, he's said that many times now, but glancing at him, you couldn't stay mad and you chuckled halfheartedly.
"It's alright." You waved your hand dismissively and turned back to the mirror, grabbing your brush to begin untangling your hair. "So why are you here anyway?" You asked, cringing as you hit a knot in your hair. In the reflection you could see Castiel look back up at you.

"I heard you talking about how you didn't want to go. What did you mean?" He asked.

"I was talking about school, Cas." You answered, setting the brush down to walk out of the bathroom and to the small kitchen. You didn't live alone, of course, your parents were still here. Sometimes. Right now they were out on business trips but your mum would hopefully get back today. Sure enough, you heard the soft footsteps of the angel following you like a lost puppy, but you really didn't mind much.

"Why don't you want to go to school (Y/N)? Isn't that where you are supposed to learn and be with friends?"

You bit your lip at his question. You could trust him right? Besides, what would he do about it anyway?

"Yeah, Cas, it is where you're supposed to learn and be with friends, but it seems that only popular people get that luxury." You answered, pulling a bowl and your favorite cereal from a cabinet, then shuffled over to grab the milk from the fridge.

"What do you mean? Are you not popular?" The angel asked, confused as always.

You let out a bitter laugh at his question. "I'm far from it. I swear I'm at the bottom of the high school food chain." Your voice was soft as you focused on just making your breakfast.

"I don't understand." Came Castiel's response.

"Neither do I." You whispered, avoiding eye contact with him and you sat down and began to eat slowly. You let your mind drift to the things they would yell at you in the hallways, write on papers and throw at you, write on your locker. Fat. Ugly. Stupid. Most likely to flunk out of high school. Lonely. Loser.

"They really say things like that?" You were snapped out of your reverie and you looked up at the angel, tears glistening in your eyes. You tried not to let it bother you too much, brushing it away like it didn't matter. You rubbed your eyes and went back to eating, not answering his question. But he began to speak again.

"I don't think any of those things they say are true. You in fact are not fat at all, you are perfect weight for your age and height. And you most certainly are not ugly. You are one of the most beautiful humans I've seen. You aren't stupid, you're very smart. And-"

"Cas." You interrupted. "Please stop."

"Did I say something wrong? If I did I am sorry." He always sounded so sincere with his words and you loved it. You looked up at him, a small tear rolling down your cheek and you wiped it away, smiling up at him.

"No, you didn't say anything wrong, you said a lot of right things. I just haven't heard them in a while. And they..." You paused, sniffling a tiny bit. "They mean a lot, Cas. Thank you." You watch a small smile cross the angel's lips.

"They are only the truth, (Y/N)." He said.

You smiled once more and nodded, standing to wash your bowl and put in the dishwasher. Catching a glance at the time you gasped. "Crap! I've gotta hurry or I'll be late!" You exclaimed and practically sprinted to your bedroom to get dressed.

As your emerged you saw Castiel standing with your backpack in his hands for you to take. You flashed a smile of appreciation and quickly checked to make sure everything you needed was there. Satisfied, you slung it over your shoulders and started towards the door. However your turned back around to face the angel once more.

"Thank you for your kind words earlier, they really mean a lot. But I've gotta get going now or I'll really be late." Your voice dropped slightly at the fact that you had to leave behind the friendly and confused angel. Sensing this, Castiel stepped forward to you.

"If you ever need to talk, or need help, pray to me and I'll be there. I want to help you through this." He said and leaned forward to press a soft kiss to your forehead.

"I will, thanks again." You said and stood on your tiptoes to peck the angel's cheek. You then hurried out the door, taking a deep breath, a bit more confident about the day. You were happy with the knowledge that your angel was watching over you, though you knew things wouldn't be quick to change, or even change at all. But knowing Castiel was there helped you.
