You shouldn't be doing this, yet you were. It was going against everything the other angels and the Winchesters told you. But honestly, what's the worst that could happen? He could kill you, that's what could happen. The more rational side of you thought. Every fiber of your being was screaming at you not to meet him, but you didn't listen.
"(Y/N)." You heard a smooth and cool voice say, making you turn. You sucked in a breath and tilted your chin up confidently.
"Lucifer." You whispered his name, watching him approach. His steps were slow, tauntingly slow. You kept your head up looking him directly in the eyes. You saw many emotions, but above them you saw sadness.
"What's a pretty little angel like you doing here? Shouldn't you be with Castiel, was it? And those Winchesters?" He asked, his tone laced with something you couldn't quite pick up. You shook your head nonetheless.
"I don't want to be with them. I came here because I wanted to talk." You answered, stiffening slightly as he walked behind you, trailing his fingers along your upper back.
"That's not very faithful of you." He whispered in your ear, his cool breath on your neck. A shiver ran up your spine but you stayed calm, turning your head to him.
"I never really was the most faithful angel anyway." You said with a shrug. "Nothing like Michael." You added, knowing the archangel's name would stir something in Lucifer. He was in front of you in no time, eyes narrowed.
"No. Nobody is like Michael." He told you lowly, his voice dangerously quiet. "Now what's the real reason you're here, (Y/N)?" He asked once more, turning his back to you.
"You miss him don't you?" You ignored his question, but cautiously laid your hand on his back over the spot where his wings would be.
"Why would you think that?" He whirled around, his face close to your as he glared at you. You fought the urge to take a step back, away from the Devil.
"Because he's your older brother. Despite what he did you still consider him family. You're lonely without him." You spoke, your voice wavering only the slightest. You knew that no matter how much he may try to deny it, that it was true. Lucifer's eyes softened.
"So what if I am? I'm perfectly happy without him." He admitted.
"Sure, you're happy without Michael, but you're not happy in general. You're lonely." You pushed for the truth. This caused him to scoff.
"I am not lonely." He argued stubbornly, turning away once more.
"Yes you are. Let me help you." You reached your hands forward once more but he turned, grabbing your wrists in his own cold hands. You didn't struggled because you knew he wouldn't hurt you.
"Why? You're still a pure angel, I will only corrupt you." He said bitterly, releasing your wrists. You let your arms fall back to your sides.
"I don't believe that." You replied. "I believe that there is still some good left in you, and I can help you. And so what if I get cast out for this, I'm surprised it hasn't happened already." You shrugged off his comment, but it was true. You'd gone against orders plenty of times, both before and after meeting the Winchesters.
"Why aren't you with Sam and Dean?" Lucifer asked again, eyeing you suspiciously, knowing that you've helped them before.
"I don't feel inclined to help them much anymore, they have Castiel. It was a passing opportunity actually. I offered them my aid in exchange for their help in contacting you." You answered truthfully, you'd never been keen on lying. Lucifer only nodded, seemingly thinking over the situation.
"Why are you just now doing this?" He then asked.
"Do you always ask this many questions?" You countered, raising an eyebrow. This only received a halfhearted glare, however. You sighed.
"Because I only just now got the courage. To be honest, I thought you were going to kill me as soon as you saw me.""I could still do that." Lucifer said, raising his hand to take a strand of your hair, twirling it between his fingers. His eyes then lifted to meet yours. "But you're too pretty to do that."
You offered a small smile, saying, "You know, you're not as bad as how the others make you out to be." He only scoffed, rolling his eyes and dropping the strand of hair.
"Let me stay with you, and let me help you. I know I can." You said again. Lucifer was silent, and his only reply was placing his hand on your cheek to bring you into a kiss. His cold lips met your warm ones firmly. You could sense the desire in his actions. The desire to feel something again other than loneliness.
