Chapter 1 Awoken

I woke up tangled in my own vines. My legs were aching. Ash was lying on the hard concrete floor beside me, panting, and gasping for air. Ash had the element of fire. When he was younger, he went on a journey to find someone or something to help his mother. He met an old stallion who talked to him and granted him his power. Beside him, was Dew, she had the element of water. Her story is a little different, she was born with this power, her mother was just like her but was killed after Dew was born. On the other side of me was Breeze, we don't know her back story but it is said that she was made in a huge thunderstorm. I am Twig, I have the element life. I was diagnosed with this ability when I was young. I ate a type of vines that I wasn't supposed to eat. Oh, also, we're all horses.

The room we were in was dark but the flames on Ash's body lit it up. There was a steel door on the left and nothing else. It was big enough to fit us through. I tried getting up but fell back down. I started to drift away in sleep but I was fighting, I finally fell asleep.

I dreamt I was fighting with everyone else. All of a sudden Dew evaporated away, Ash burnt out, and Breeze disappeared, I was all alone! Arrows were flying at me from every which way. I was managing to dodge them with my vines but they were getting stronger! I look down and saw an explosive, it went black.

I woke up to Dew spraying me with her water. Ash was trying to knock down the door and Breeze was sitting there doing nothing but thinking. I realized right then, we had to escape this place!

Calm down everyone we can't just freak out and lose control, I yelled.

What are we supposed to do, make friends with our kidnappers?! Ash snapped back.

That is exactly what we should do to get on their side and then make a run for it. Breeze whinnied at Ash.

I noticed that Dew was sitting in the corner trying to ignore us. She was the youngest of us all. I could see the fear in her eyes, like the fear I got when I had the dream.

Everyone stop! Do you see what we are doing? We can't be like this if we are going to be a team and defeat our enemy, I shouted. It was silent for a while but the silence was broke by the door unlocking...
