When we got back, and Regina and Abra saw us, they came cantering over.
Ash! Regina called, Everyone, what happened? She asked confused. Abra just stood there speechless.
We shouldn't of used that stupid magical stream. Ash stomped by his mom and sister. You see, all the walking they did home kind of helped us get the hang of walking.
Ash!? Abra said as he walked past her, then turning to us, she asked, What's with him?
Don't ask me, I said dumbfounded, he just started this, he wasn't like this while we were walking here.
I'll talk to him, Regina said, and she trotted up to the house.
Ash was sitting on the porch with a glare of madness across his face.
What's wrong Ash? His mother asked, Your never like this.
Do you see what that stupid fountain did to us! He yelled at his mother, I'm sorry, I'm just so worked up about all of this.
Once when you were little, his mother started, you would always have something that you couldn't do and you would just stomp off into the house. I would always have to remind you, you have to never give up on what your heart tells you.
What's that supposed to mean? Ash questioned.
It was your idea, his mother told him, so you need to go out there, and show your friends that you don't give up, and you will fight with them, because I know as a matter of fact, all of them are scared too! Her voice was stern now, Go! She told him and he was off.
Ash walked up to the others and said, Hey, sorry about all of that, I just wasn't myself. He confessed, But if we want to defeat the Ground Hunters, we gotta get better at using our powers.
Ash was right, we needed to practice, and we didn't even know if our attacks had changed.
The next morning we were up and training.
First off, you need to learn how to use the legs! Abra commanded us in a stern voice. She wanted to be our teacher so we let her. 20 laps around the house!
By the time we got the hang of running, we were on our 12th lap so we kind of had it easy. When we got done with that Abra yelled,
On the ground! 50 push-ups!
We were exhausted after, and we all just payed on the ground.
When are we actually going to work on our powers!? Dew whimpered from the ground.
Ya, Ash added, you might be going a little too hard on us.
Sorry, Abra said, let's work on your powers now, first off, Ash, since your my brother, show me what you can do?
He lifted a fire ball out of his hand and threw it up in the sky so mother would catch on fire by their home.
Interesting, Abra said, Twig, your next.
I walked up and really, did not know what to do. So, I just lifted both of my arms hoping something would happen, and two great vines shot out of the ground and wrapped around me like I was putting on armor or something.
Wow! Abra said surprised, Well then, Breeze your next!
Breeze walked up and shot up into the sky! She could fly!
Holy cow! Abra yelled. Finally, Dew it's your turn.
Um, she walked up hesitantly, she jumped up and landed on the ground, but she wasn't herself, she was a puddle!
We trained all day long and learned a whole bunch of new move like I learned that I can rises thorns out of the ground and launch them at something. Ash learned he can ride on a fire tornado. Breeze learned that she can cause a huge wind gust that can knock anything down... that didn't go so great. And Dew, she learned that she could strike a blue watery lighting bolt down from the sky, with a little help from Breeze. As for our pets, my cub can transform into a giant grisly bear, and Ash's snake turns into a flying giant serpent. Breeze's eagle transforms into a gryphon, and Dew's turtle transforms into a huge tortoise with a wicked bite.
After a long day of training we knew that were ready for the Ground Hunters, and that we had a lot more to discover about ourselves!
