Review #16: Psycho Busters

Title Critique: I'll be honest. The minute I saw the title, I started laughing... why? Because I legit thought it was about a person who beats up psychopaths or something like that. There's no alternative names, but I think once you really catch onto the plot, you'll see why this manga has this particular name.

Episodes/Chapters: So I'll be honest here. I have no idea if this is an anime or not. On Google, there is an option that literally says "Psycho Buster Anime." However, when I clicked on it, there were characters that weren't even in the manga (which happens sometimes)... So because of this, I'm assuming there's no anime (sadness). However, this manga is COMPLETED! It has a total of 32 chapters with about a total of 30 – 40 scans each! Wow! This isn't even popular, but this mangaka is really giving it her all!

Plot: Let's be honest here. We've all (well maybe it's just me) hated now normal life was. School, tests, maybe some extra curricular activities here and there, but other than that, there's really nothing different from us to the next person. And this is exactly how Kakeru feels about his life.

Kakeru is your average lonely anime character that is frequently getting beaten up. He's really games and such where he can throw himself into a fantasy where his existence actually matters. He wishes that sometimes, life wasn't so plan (at least for him) and that something big would actually happen that will change his life... and well it did.

One night, Kakeru is confronted by a (*cough* naked *cough*) flying "ghost" girl that begs him to help her friend. So what does he do? Well I think if this was in real life, we'd all be completely terrified and hope it was a dream... but since this is a manga, of course he follows her. I mean... a flying naked ghost girl.... Really? You'd really follow her? I know I wouldn't (though I admit it's tempting now that I know what happens next).

And... that's all I'm going to spoil! Now note that even though she's naked, she's not always like this! It's her "power" if you want to call it that (her power is soul separation! Not just get naked and fly around...). And this manga is NOT ECCHI. It's actually under supernatural... oh shoot I spoiled. Damn...I'm going to stop now.

Rating from 1 – 10: So I'm a huge fan of mangas that aren't popular. Why? Well because you could go around and be spouting about animes/mangas that no one knows about. I mean how many of you readers know the anime + manga Get Backers? Yeah. I thought so.

In any case, this was a really cool manga! It definitely gave me a break from physics... which probably wasn't the best idea since now I have to go online and figure out how to finish my homework... The first chapter really kicks in towards the middle of the chapter, but I think a lot of us can relate to Kakeru (not just that he gets bullied). So because of the plot, I'm rating this an 8. It's not really bad, but I wish there was more... a lot more. Also, they kind of leave you hanging about the whole background information... ah just read it! I'm really tempted to just spoil everything!

On the Wattpad counter, this has reached over 100 views, but I'm curious to know who actually comes back to read these weekly reviews. xD.
