Friday after school.

Maya and Sofia walked into Topangas.

"Hey mum" Maya says walking over.
"Maya oh who's your new friend" Katy says smiling at her.
"I'm Sofia" she says sweetly introducing herself.
"Nice to meet you Sofia I'm Katy" she says back.
"So is it ok if Sofia stays tonight were doing a school project" she says lying.
"Yeah of course I'll bring pizza home tonight for you girls" she tells her.
"Sounds good I'll make sure to be there" someone says.
"Shawn" Maya says smiling and hugs him.
"Hey kiddo" he says.
"Hi who's this" he asked.
"This is one of Maya friends from school Sofia she's doing a project with Maya and then staying the night" Katy tells him.
"Nice to meet you Sofia I'm Shawn Hunter" he says.
"Nice to meet you Mr Hunter" Sofia says.

"See you later then" Maya says.
"See you later baby girl"Katy says as Maya and Sofia walked out.

On the way to Maya apartment.
"So who is that Shawn guy I thought your dad left you and your mum you never said you had a step dad" Sofia asked.
"Oh no Shawn is my bestfriends dad bestfriend we have the same background so we understand eachother he isn't my dad but I sure wish he was" Maya says as they start walking.

They walk into Maya apartment.
"Sorry it isn't the best place" Maya says.
"Oh no its fine" Sofia says as they head to Maya room.

She saw Maya wall pictures as a heart on top of her bed frame.
"Thats so cool who are these people" she asked.
"Practically my family" maya says (photo up top our the photos on her wall).
"Seems like a great family to me" Sofia says.
"Yeah so did I" Maya says.
"So how did they get onto your wall" she asked.
"They never gave up on me showed me I worth fighting for always there when I need someone and helps me achieve my potential" Maya says.
"wow" Sofia says as she sits on Maya bed.
"Guitar you play" she says.
"A bit Riley gave it to me it was her great grandmothers" she tells her.
"wow" Sofia says.

The girls sat and talked about their lives and what it was like growing up telling stories and everything.
"Wait you went to this old dudes house dug up his garden for a time capsal after being buried 15 years before that" sofia says laughing.
"Yep that was Mr Matthews for you" she tells her.
"Seems like you've had fun now you told your mum we were here to do a project" she told her.
"Yeah she isn't gonna check its fine" she tells her.

"Maya I'm home I bought pizza" Katy says.
"Were coming" Maya says and her and Sofia walk out of Maya room.

"Thanks mum" Maya says grabbing a piece of pizza.
"Yeah thanks Ms Hart" Sofia says.
"Anytime anyway Maya im heading out tonight you two will be fine on your own won't you" Katy asked.
"Yeah will be fine have fun" Maya says grabbing the pizza box and they head back to Maya room before Maya heads back out.
"Snacks our in the bag" Katy tells her.
"Great thanks mum" Maya says grabbing the snacks and a dvd so they can watch a film.
"See you tonight or if not tomorrow morning" Katy tells her.
"Back at you" Maya says.

She comes back "got snacks and a film" Maya says.
"Sounds like we have plans for our night" Sofia says.
"Yep" Maya says and they change into something more comfy.
"wow your closet is amazing" sofia says.
"Thanks Shawn bought me a whole new wardrobe last year got it all from demolition" Maya tells her.
"He sounds like a nice guy for someone who isn't your dad gosh I wish I had a woman like that in my life" Sofia says.
"Yeah Riley helped me out in that way" Maya says.
"Seems like she has" Sofia says as they sit and watch the film.

Maya got a text from Riley.
R : hey peaches what you doing?
M: nothing much watching a film with Sofia after doing a project for class.
R: I see well I'm having a party next Saturday my parents are letting me the boys are coming to you wanna come?
M: sure Riles I'm in for that.
R:Great give you more dets later have a gd evening peaches x
M: thanks Riles you to x

With Riley.

"Ehh she is leaving me out" Riley says to Liv, Avery and Laura and Emma.
"Don't worry about it Ri Ri you have me now" she says.
"Yeah your right" Riley says back "she only used me because she prefered me place and everything around me I don't need her I have you girls" She tells them.
"Exactly" Avery says.

Riley textes Maya again.
R: actually don't worry about the party not having anymore doing near my bday.
M: ok then its fine dont worry about it.

"Ehh" Riley says she saw her friendship ring "bffs forever huh" She says.
"Take it off you have us now" Avery says.
"I can't I said I'd never take it off the day I die" Riley says.
"Oh come on she has this new friend now" Emma says
Riley takes off the friendship ring and puts it in her jewellery box "yeah your right" she says but really she felt bad but forgot about it. "Thats the end of Riley and Maya friendship" Riley says.
The girls smile "now your one of us" Laura says.
