Just Friends

"What in the holy fucking hell."

Derek jumps off of me and I see Isaac and Scott standing in the door way.

"Shit." I mumble to myself, fixing my hair.

"Isaac, calm down." Scott instructs, as Isaac shifts into his wolf form.

"I know you were not just kissing her." Isaac growls, stepping towards Derek.

"Look Isaac, I know that was stupid.. I'm well aware of it." Derek assures him.

Isaac growls at Derek before throwing him into the wall, leaving me speechless.

They start hitting each other then, the claws come out. No, I can't let them kill each other.

"Isaac, stop!" I beg, jumping in front of him right as he tries to claws Derek's face.

Instead, he claws mine.

The room turns dead silent and Isaac's jaw drops. "Taylor, I-" Isaac begins.

"It's okay." I assure him, running out of the house.

I finally stop running once I reach a creek. I sit back on the ground and throw a few pebbles into the pond.

"Taylor?" Isaac calls out.

"Isaac, I'm fine." I assure him.

"You know, 'I'm fine' is a girls biggest lie." He informs me, sitting next to me.

"So, maybe I could be doing better." I shrug, as my eyes get glossy.

"I know what you mean." He agrees, pulling me into his chest.

"Taylor, I'm truly sorry.. I'm so sorry, I don't even know how to apologize." Isaac gulps.

"Isaac, it's alright, I mean, I almost did the same thing to Alison so... I guess we're even.. Yeah?" I question.

"Y-yeah.. So I'm guessing we're just friends?" He inspects.

"I think that'd be best." I nod.

"Before we make it official.. Can I at least tell you something?" He asks.

"Huh?" I interrogate.

"Do.. Do you remember when you fell sitting by the water? Or when we fought and I told you I'd never leave you alone? Or when I'd never make your parents mistakes?" He asks.

"Yeah.." I answer.

"I'm sorry I failed." He apologizes.

"It's okay, Isaac." I assure him.

"So uh, so.. Wanna grab a bite? Just as friends?" He suggests.

"I'd love to."
