Chapter fourteen

Sunny POV

Taehyung held my hand tightly so I could feel his comfort. His hand was soft, and his thumb was ceresing my skin. As my head was laying on his shoulder it was like it fit perfectly. My mind couldn't comprehend everything that has happened leading up to this point, so I don't. Instead, I give myself a break to relax for once. But even though I try, my head is pounding with thoughts. 

It was silent between Taehyung and I, we enjoyed the peace after the hectic day. But finally I spoke, "Taehyung?" I call. 

"Mm?" Taehyung's voice sounded exhausted. 

"I want you to tell me about vampires, I need to know," Taehyung stayed quiet, contemplating if he should say anything. Finally, I heard him sigh before nodding his head. I looked up at him and listened carefully to his words. 

"Vampires are real, I can't deny that anymore. Vampires need to keep a healthy diet of blood in order to function in a human society. There's also something called a scent, it's a human that has a scent that a specific vampire is attracted to. It makes them connected to this person, and makes them was to feed off them. Every vampire has a scent, don't worry, you're not Jimin's you're someone else's," Taehyung's words come out so casually which makes me question why he knows so much, "Every vampires also has a Secrets Book, where they keep track of their families history-" My mind flows to another thought as I quickly interrupt him/ 

"Wait, every vampire does?" Taehyung nods in response, "Your family has that book...Does that mean you're a-"

He quickly responds, "My father and my brother are...not me," I back my face up a little at his words. His family are vampires? No wonder he knows so much. 

"How?" Taehyung shrugs and looks down at me. 

"My dad turned my brother into a vampire, but he never turned me," He answers and I nod. I slowly lower my head to look at our hands that were touching. I sigh remembering the fact that I'm someones scent. 

"Do you know who's addicted to me?" I ask while lifting my head to look at him. 

"N-no," I smudge my lips, if Taehyung and I both don't know who could be addicted to me, I could be in danger. At any time my life could be on the line. The thought of this makes my heart beat fast, and I feel my hand get a little sweaty. I pull Taehyung's hand closer to my body for comfort. 

"Taehyung....I'm scared," I felt Taehyung squeeze my hand and I bring my body closer to his. 

"Don't be scared, Sunny, I'll protect you," I felt a sense of comfort when he said those words, "If anyone tries to hurt you, just call my name as loud as you can and I'll be there," Taehyung smiles in hopes that it'll make me feel better, and it does a little. 

I look back down before whispering to myself, "I know I'm safe with you," I felt Taehyung glare at me and I couldn't tell if it was because he heard what I said. Either way, I slowly looked up at him and our eyes meet. No one spoke, no one moved, we just stared into each other's eyes. I had so much more to ask about vampires but in this moment he made all that worry go away. 

The door flung open and Taehyung and I quickly look at who it was, "Did I interrupt?" Namjoon asks smudging his lips at us.

"N-no," Taehyung says. He watches Namjoon eyes lower to our hands that were still intacked.

Namjoon smiles at our body language, "Aww," After hearing his reaction, Taehyung and I quickly let go of each others hands and laid them in our laps. Namjoon chuckles at our response. 

"Please leave," Taehyung says awkwardly. Namjoon shakes his head still chuckling at the situation before turning around and leaving before closing the door. I look the other direction from Taehyung and take a light sigh. I didn't understand what just happened, but I didn't want to think too much about it. Taehyung looks down at his fingers and plays with them before speaking, "I should talk to him, I'll be back," Taehyung begins to get off the bed and turns around to look at me, "Just try to get some rest," I nodded kindly and watch him walk to the door.
