Very early the next morning they rode south on Collinsdale Road, the same road by which she had entered the city. The day was bright and cloudless. They talked as they moved past the traffic on the road and she paid little attention to where they were going. He pushed the horses and after three hours, they were at their destination. As she dismounted Zenobia, she realized where they were. They led the horses down a small path into the woods, a path she had missed the last time she was here. He stopped in a small clearing and they removed the saddles and gear and let the horse wander in the field. They were both well trained animals and would not go far.
Hand in hand he led her to the same pool at the base of the waterfall that she had shared with Devin just over a week before. She would tell him about that, but not today. She wanted nothing to distract Eric's attention from her today. It was a gorgeous location; the waterfall shimmered in the sunlight. They moved past the rocks where she had lain previously, across the stream at the end of the pool to a nice flat grassy area above the rushing water. It had been in shadow when she had been here before, but now was bathed by the bright sun. Here they spread the quilt that they used on these trips and Eric set down the pack with all of their food and drink.
When she had been on the shopping trip with the girls, Kate had talked her into picking up two new bathing suits. They had bathing suits in Otania, but they were every bit as exciting as the normal attire. She had never seen a real string bikini before, but knew instinctively that they might be useful tools. One was green and the other white and she had worn the green one under her regular summer gray uniform just in case he took her to a place where they could swim. After they had settled in and he was seated, she started stripping without saying anything to him. Out of the corner of her eye she watched his eyes locked on her, his mouth open. He started to say something, but she had her tunic off before he could utter words and he realized she had a bathing suit on. He laughed then, but still could not take his eyes off of her while she slid out of the pants, shoes and socks.
She turned to him and smiled, "Kate talked me into buying a couple of these. What do you think?" He shook his head like he was trying to clear his mind and replied, "It looks......wow.....do you ever get tired of me telling you how beautiful you are?" "No," she responded instantly, emphatically, "Never." He coughed, swallowed and then sighed. "Well, then....it matches your eyes....but there is so little to it. It only manages to hide the minimum. I would not want any other man to see you in this......but it reveals just how perfect your body and figure are. You could only be more beautiful if you had nothing on at all. She smiled wide and stooped to kiss him. "That could be arranged." she whispered to him, but before he was able to respond she had sprung from his side and leaped into the pool. It shortened the life of her new hairdo, but she didn't care, all of it was only a prop to capture his heart anyway. Her head surfaced, curled black hair spread out around her in the water like a fan. Her eyes were on him. "It's cold, but refreshing. Join me." she called.
He grimaced, "I didn't bring a bathing suit. Yes, that water IS cold; it is barely warm enough to swim in during August and September." She pouted. "Uh.....ok, ok, babe. Give me a minute, I'm coming. But I only have my underwear. That was exactly what she thought. She smiled again, "That's fine. I'll keep you warm. I'm waiting." Sinking in the water till it was just below her eyes she watched him as he took off his clothes. His body was every bit as beautiful as Devin's. Under the water, her mouth turned up in another smile. This Adonis is mine.
If her appearance excited and enticed him, he had the very same effect on her, but she didn't really want him to know the full extent of that, at least not yet. He couldn't dive in from the spot she did and had to walk over to the rocks. Taking a deep breath, and bracing himself, he dove in. His head came to the surface right in front of her and he inhaled with a loud gasp. She could see that it was taking every bit of his willpower to not scream out loud as Devin had. "I would only do this for you." he chattered.
