it was 10 pm. I'm exhausted... I just finished my work and I was finally about to go home until my best friend Janeeva surprisingly picked me up.
'Hey bestie where are we going?'
'Secret haha'
'Hoy ano bayan? I'm so tired already'
'Just calm down its only 10'
'heyyyy ok, but i'm going to sleep just wake me up'
----30 mins later------
'Meng wake up!'
'huh? oh sorry, anyways where are we?'
'Just follow me'
We entered a event place and I didn't know what to expect... Its not my birthday though... Once i took a few steps inside. I heard the piano. It was the song Alden played years ago... Stay with me by Sam Smith.
I walked slowly seeing that my friends and family were there as I walked through rose petals. I started getting emotional until I heard his voice... I looked up seeing him surrounded by white and yellow roses while he played the piano and sang. It was Alden. I started to choke up my spit as I was being surprised and becoming teary. I didn't know what to do but to just stand in the center watching him perform that song.
The song ended. Alden walked up to me wearing a suit, coming closer and.... bending on one knee.
I looked at him with tears flowing down my face.
'Nicomaine Mendoza, remember the promise we made 5 years ago... The day when we said we'll get married 5 years later. I Richard Faulkerson Jr. kept that promise just to prepare for this very moment... Nicomaine Mendoza... will you marry me?'
'Yes. I will marry you Richard! Yes yes yes!'
Alden lifted me up and hugged me along with a kiss. 'I can't believe you still remembered that Richard and because of you it finally happened'
