My family greeted Ellie as if she was one of us. I guess it was easy to tell that she was genuine at heart.

All of the guys laughed and I scowled deeply, waiting for him to try anything so I could pop him right in the jaw.

I need to let out some steam.

I excused myself and went to look for my mother.

"Mama!"I called walking around the house granted I could've asked where she was but I liked shouting for her.

I went into the kitchen to see Ellie cutting up vegetables while my momma stirred a mixture into a stainless steal sauce pan.

"Mama."I grinned kissing her on her temple.

She smiled,kissed me a few times and went back to her stirring. I sat beside Ellie stealing a few pieces of cucumbers and carrots.

"So when were you going to tell me you had a new girlfriend Lucas?"

Ellie's eyes went wide and she picked up her cutting pace.

"Well,"I smirked.

"I didn't have a chance to tell you,since she's new and all."

"So when am I going to meet her?"She asked sternly.

Ellie avoided eye contact all together.

"She's standing right next you mama."I smiled triumphantly.

Ellie dropped the knife.

"Oh my goodness,sweetheart and you didn't say a thing! I wasn't there for the introductions, I thought... Oh never mind, give me a hug!"

Ellie hugged her with a nervous tight smile.

"I'm going to kill you,"She mouthed all the while smiling serenely at my mother.
