Laurence's pov

I covered my cheeks with my hand trying to cool of my face. "Uhh, she's so dang cute." I said embarrassed and I looked at Ungrth and he rolled his eyes. I smiled embarrassed and I hid under the blankets. I love Aphmau...that's why I tease her but...I smiled and got out of bed. I sighed when two days passed and Aphmau never came to visit me. I was feeling better but Dante refused to let me do anything except sleep.

"I'm so boooored." I wined but knew nobody was here. I miss Aphmau...when will she visit me? I rolled over in my bed and Ungrth wasn't here. He decided to help navigate the ship so...I was all alone. "Uh! I can't take this!" I sighed and got up. I opened the door and left my room. "Dante!" I yelled out and ran to him. Dante was steering the ship and I asked "Where is Aphmau?"

Dante shrugged and said "She locked herself into the kitchen today and nobody can get inside and the guys are afraid of her because she is the first girl they've seen in about maybe five years?" I thanked Dante and ran to the kitchen door. Yes...this boat is huge so you practically have to run everywhere. "Aphmau!" I yelled as I knocked on the door. "Ah! Laurence!? What are you doing here!?" Aphmau yelled nervously.

"Why are you avoiding me?" I asked and I heard something drop. "What was that?" I asked again and Aphmau yelled "I-it was nothing!" I could tell she was lying and I took a deep breath. "Back away from the door." I said and Aphmau yelled "No! Don't come in here!" I kicked down the door and Aphmau's face flushed red. "Why didn't you want me in here?" I asked and then I noticed a cake on the counter.

"I-I wanted to make you something special but I was to embarrassed to...give this to you today." I noticed Aphmau had an apron and I walked up to her and hugged her. "L-Laurence! You'll get your cloths dirty from the frosting." Aphmau said and she blushed brightly. I shook my head and hugged Aphmau tighter and said "I don't care Aphmau...I love you."

I rested my head on Aphmau's shoulder and she hugged me back. "I love you too Laurence." Aphmau said and then there was a loud exploding noise. Aphmau and I were knocked back and Aphmau fell on top of me and she blushed. "Well hello." I said and Aphmau pushed herself off me. We both stood up and Travis yelled "Captain! A ship is attacking!"

I looked at Aphmau and said "Go to the sea. You should be safe there." Aphmau shook her head and said "No, I'm not going to leave you." I frowned and picked Aphmau up. "Let go Laurence!" She yelled and we reached the deck. "I'll see you later Aphmau." I said and threw Aphmau into the water. "Laurence!" Aphmau yelled when she hit the water and I smiled sadly at her.

I grabbed my sword and saw the ship. The ship was giant and was painted black. The ghost ship....that is the ship of O'khasis and its captain.....Zane. The most fierce pirate in the Ru'aun seas. I gripped my sword and Ungrth roared. This was going to be a big battle.
