Chapter Five:

We had been traveling for about a week, stopping for a bit here and there. Today we decided to break at spot full of boulders. I liked it there, because there were a lot of places for me to sit ad think. I decided to climb up to tallest one. I noticed my sleeves rolled down as I climbed, so I rolled them up, for the cuts Saruman that placed upon me still lingered.

Ugh. Saruman. I hate that damn Wizard with a passion.

I had been sitting there for about five minutes when I felt sensed someone coming up behind me.

"Are you alright?" Legolas asked.

I turned around to see him looking down concerned.

"I'm fine Legolas, thank you." I smiled up at him.

"Pardon me for asking, but how did you get those cuts?"he asked curiously.

"I.. Uh-" I stuttered. I couldn't tell him about Saruman. I couldn't.

"What's that?" Sam said suddenly. We all glanced at where he was looking to see a large black spot moving towards us.

Thanks for the distraction Sam, kudos to you!

"Nothing, it's just a wisp of cloud." Gimli retorted.

"It's moving fast... And against the wind." Boromir added.

"Crebain from Dunland!" Legolas shouted.

He quickly jumped down to join everyone hiding. I, on the other hand, was having a little trouble getting down, because my foot was stuck in the spilt in the boulder. I yanked my foot out just to fall off a damn twenty-foot boulder.
I covered my face in my hands, preparing for the impact. I didn't dare scream because I didn't want to alert the Crebain.

But instead of hitting the hard ground, I fell instead someone's arms. Legolas ran with my in his arms to a large bush and we hid there. Once the Crebain were gone, I stood up and hugged him. Then I walked over to Gandalf. I noticed that Boromir was glaring at Legolas. Huh, that's weird.

"Spies of Saruman!" Gandalf spat.

"The passage is being watched. We must take the pass of Caradhras!" He looked towards the mountains.

Great. Snow.

We had walked for a couple hours in the snow when I saw Frodo rolling past me.

Excuse me dear Frodo, but it's not time to play.

I looked back to see my father pick him up. Oh I guess he fell. Frodo frantically started feeling around his neck, and I realized the Ring must had fallen off. I instantly started looking around for it.

"Boromir.." My father stated. We all looked over at Boromir, who appeared to be in a trance.

He had the Ring of Power in his hand.

"Tis a strange fate, that we suffer so much fear and doubt over such small a thing....such a little thing." He murmured.

"Boromir!" My father snapped.

"Give the Ring to Frodo." He said.

Boromir hesitantly strode back to Frodo and handed the Ring to him.

"As you wish.. I care not." He chuckled then ruffled Frodo's hair.

Frodo grimaced. Haha, Frodo doesn't like Boromir either.

We walked on without anymore disturbances for a couple of hours, then began to walk along the ledges.

Then the storm began. Wind whipped through our hair. Everyone seemed to be chilled to the bone. I was extremely tempted to create a fireball, but I didn't want to alarm anyone, because even though Elves contain magic, no one had powers that I have. Snow began sticking to my clothes and hair, much to my disgust.

"There is a fell voice on air." Legolas said above the wind.

"ITS SARUMAN!" Gandalf yelled.

Rocks suddenly poured around us.

"He's trying to bring down the mountain! Gandalf, we must turn back!"
My father shouted.

"No!" Gandalf protested.

He began to chant in Elvish, trying to overcome the dark magic. I wished I could help, but I couldn't blow my cover.

Suddenly a thunder bolt hit the top of the mountain. A huge amount of snow and began to fall down. It quickly covered us.

Something solid hit my head, and everything went dark.
