Where will two lives take them when they meet each other secretly in the woods? Scarlet is a shy yet pretty sixteen year old girl. However, she needs someone to share her secrets with. When she takes a walk in the woods a summer day, she meets kind...
Not with the tie, but other than that yeah, it's how I see Andrew.
We've met a few times again this week, Andrew and I. We're getting along pretty well. The first time I saw him, Andrew looked like a guy who has troubles in his mind 24/7. But now I know that he's beyond that. Andrew said to meet up today in the afternoon. My mom doesn't mind. I've told her about him, and she smiled while I talked. I just hope mom doesn't think we're dating... We aren't. Although, Andrew is pretty good looking. Did I just say that...?
**Later that day, in the afternoon**
There are clothes on my bed, and a scattered mess of more on the floor. What should I wear? "Scarlet? What're you doing?" I turn around and see my mom looking confused. "Sorry, mom. I'll clean this up. I'm just going outside for a bit. I see mom smiling, and she replies. "Alright. Have fun, but don't be late." I grin back at her. "Okay, mom. Thanks." Mom walks out and I look back at my closet. I close my eyes and reach into the closet. When I get my hands on something I grab it and pull it out. I open my eyes, and beam.

That's how Scarlet's outfit looks like :D
I quickly wear the dress, and shove the remaining clothes into my closet without a second thought. I brush my hair, put a little lipgloss on, "Beautiful Day" perfume, and I head out. "Bye mom!" My mom waves from her spot in the kitchen. I shut the door behind me, put on pale blue converse, and run to the woods. After I'm there, I immediately go to the place Andrew showed me.
He's not here yet, but I sit down and wait for him. Wow the flowers are yellow or gre- "Boo!" I yelp and turn around. "Andrew!" He chuckles and sits next to me. I spot a small white box in his hand. "Sorry for scaring you. Anyways, I made you a little something." I grin. "Really? You didn't have to." Andrew shrugs. "Too late. Here you go." I open the box and my I can hear my heart about to come out of my chest. "Oh my god, Andrew. How did you know I loved macarons!?" He smiles. "I had a feeling you'd like them."
For the next few minutes, we eat the delicious warm macarons in peace. Finally, I start a conversation. Smirking, I say "Well, you're a poet, a baker, and you're cu-" I shut up and the smirk automatically leaves my lips. This seems to amuse Andrew. "What was the last comment? God, my ears are failing me these days you know." It's his turn to smirk now. I just roll my eyes and reply. "You didn't hear that." Andrew shrugs. "Whatever you want."
Suddenly, an idea pops into mine. "Follow me!" I smile and gesture for Andrew to come next to me. He leaves the box on the bench, and we walk hand in hand to one of my favorite places. "Where are we going...?" Andrew asks completely confused. "You showed me the bench place yesterday. My turn to show you one of my places."
In a couple of minutes of walking, we stop in our tracks in front of a white gate. Andrew opens his mouth to protest not to go in, but I go anyways. He follows me quietly and when he looks at the tree house in front of us, his jaw drops.

The treehouse!
"Woah." Andrew says completely dumbfounded. I slip my hand back into his. "Come on. I'll show you around." We walk to the stairs and we go up until we enter the house. "How did you find this?" He says tightening his grip on my hand. "My mom and I worked hard on this house last summer." Andrew grins. "Well, this is amazing."
We even put in furniture! Two small beds, a long table, a couch, and cabinets. "I wish I could live here." Andrew murmurs. I nod. "Yeah. I love this place. Before I met you, this place was a top secret. But I trust you a lot." Andrew looks at me and has that dreamy smile curled on his lips. He comes closer and closer to me until the gap between us is almost nothing. He's just about to come closer when BAM! We both jump away from each other. I look out the window and frown when it starts to rain.
"We need to leave now." I say running down the stairs. Andrew runs behind me and is about to say something. But it'll feel too awkward right after we were about to kiss, so I keep on walking until I reach the gate. But it got locked somehow from the outside.
"Locked?" Andrew says behind me. I nod and stare at him. "What now?" Suddenly, he lifts me by my waist and hoists me over the fence. The warmness from his hands is gone in an instant. Soon, he lifts himself over, grabs my hand, and we both run to the bench.
When we arrive, Andrew takes his box and hands it to me. "See you tomorrow, Scarlet." He gives me a crooked smile before running out of the woods. I sigh and run too. I run all the way back home, thinking about Andrew. I ring the doorbell a few times before Mom opens the door.
"Scarlet, quick get in!" I take off my shoes and do what she says. "Did you have fun?" I give Mom a small smile. "Andrew baked macarons. Here's the box." I hand it to her and go to my room. "Get in some warm clothes, honey." "Alright, Mom." But even after I rest in my warm clothes, I think about Andrew and what was about to happen to us. Does he really like me more than a friend...? I just can't help but wonder...
