Carl hold the golden blade on his hand and lifted it until it flashed against the moon light. It was beautiful.

"Take it with you all the time." Said Carl's father smiling. "It will give you strenght."

"Sure." Said the boy smiling at his father. "Father, tell mother I am leaving..." Carl broke down now thinking of his always tired mother. He was going to miss her more than anyone. But, he needed to go.

"I am going to tell her the reason you are leaving. She would understand."

"Andrew Lewis, I promise you will be proud of me." Carl took one of his father's hand and kissed it. "Sorry for being so stubborn."

"You were right at it. I should have never lied at you." Said Andrew sitting on an oaken armchair. He seemed tired and Carl felt pity for him. He was now going on an adventure not only for him, but also to accomplish what had been his father's desire for so many years.

"It does not matter anymore."

"There is another thing I would like to give you son."

Andrew Lewis rose to his feet and stood in front of a big wardrobe. Opening it, he took out a long silver coat and brushed it carefully.

"This was mine." He said offering it to his son, who recieved it gratefully. "From where I come from, there are no elegant men or women wearing long dresses or black blazers. There, everyone is more used to being sourrounded by flowers and big oaken trees."

"Is that the place were I am supposed to go?"

"Wizards, magical people and downworlders live there. They will want to see you."

"I... see"

"Go to your room and make your luggage."

Carl nooded and spun. His father was sure. He would better make his luggage before calling Lordewer.

"Before I forget!" Exclaimed his father before opening the oaken gates. "How do you plan to find that wizard?

Carl turned around facing his father and smirking. "He already knows where I am. I am leavjng tomorrow morning before mother wakes up."

"Yes, son."

Having got at his room, Carl started making his luggage just with what he would need.
He needed to sleep that night. He needed to put his feelings in order.

The next day Carl woke up very early, took his leather suitcase, sliped on his trouser and put the coat his father had given him on.

The house was on a completely silence. He went downstairs and opened the front door. He could feel the cold air caressing his cheeks and closed his eyes.

Closing the door, he started walking down street. When he got to a park from where nobody could see him, he started calling the wizard.

"Lordewer! Lordewer!"

There was no response.

"Lordewer! Lordewer!"

This time was different. A voice spoke from Carl's back.

"I see, you are here because..."

"I accept your offer of going on an adventure." Interruped Carl clearing his throath.

"Then, we should. From now on I will be your master. I will teach you the ways of magic and will help you discover which power you have been given with."

"Lordewer, did you meet my grandfather?" Carl closed his eyes wishing to hear a positive answer from the wizard.

Lordewer took a long pipe out of his pocket and started smoking forming circles of ashes in the air.
