Chapter 4: "The Date"

As the boy gave Kayla her coke she said,"Thanks bro." My eyes widened and we looked at each other. "Ya, we've met," said the boy, "You must be Katlin." I looked surprised and the boy took Cherry in the back.

"Cherry you crazy.
"Please for me"
"No"
"Ok Jaylen, let's make a deal. If she don't go well then I'll stop setting you up with girls"
It was suddenly silence.
"Jaylen, deal or no deal?"
I heard a sigh,"It's a deal"

They walked to me together. "Katlin, you are going with Jaylen," Cherry said slightly pushing him. He smiled a bit and I smiled slightly back and stood up. "Ok which ride should we go on first," Jaylen asked. I shrugged and walked with him. I saw the tea cup and got in line. "Ooohh I love me some tea, " I laughed a bit and got in. Jaylen also got in and we buckled up. The tea cup started spinning I was screaming and Jaylen was laughing. It got faster and faster soon of us was screaming help as loud as we can.

When it stopped we both quickly unbuckled and ran out laughing a bit. "Why did I choose the tea cup," I said freaking out, "It HAD to be the tea cup." Jaylen looked at me aznd laughed,"Panic much." I stood up crossed my arms and looked away and mumbled, "Pft, you should see me at the first day of school." He laughed, walked  to a bench and sat, "Weakling." I walked to him and kicked him on his ankle then walked off. "OW, OH COME ON KATLIN," he yelled. I laughed,"WEAKLING." He stood up and rolled his eyes. I got a drink and sat down. That day was the best day since Kayla and Luck got together. Me and Jaylen laughed and got to know each other. Turns out we got things in common. When I got home I remembered Luck and Kayla is going on a trip so I'll be all alone on Monday. My phone suddenly ringed and I awnsered.

"Um, hello?"
"Hey k it's Jaylen"
"Oh, hey. I should really save your number"
"Ya. Anyway, I was wondering..."
"JAYLEN JUST ASK HER," I heard in the back ground.
"Katlin wanna go out on a real date sometime?"
"I, uh sure, I would like that"
"Ok I'll text you the details"

He hung up and I stared at my phone. Did I just...get a date? My phone ringed again this time it was a text from Jaylen.

Jaylen: tomorrow at 7 just meet me at the Akio park

Me: OK gn

Jaylen: gn

I got in my pj's and laid in bed falling asleep thinking about school on Monday.
