We had arrived at the entrance to Orochimaru's underground tunnels. Sasuke went down the ladder first then I followed. Together we walked down the dark and musky corridors. I felt immense power in this hideout and I didn't like it at all. Then we heard it. A snake like laugh.

I moved closer to Sasuke and grabbed his hand. We kept walking though and soon came across a wide open room, lit brightly by candles. There was a man sitting in a chair in the middle of the room. His face slightly obscured by shadows.

He chuckled and said,"Sasuke come here." Sasuke stepped closer to him. I let go of his hand and made no move to go forward. Orochimaru made a quick, small movement with his left hand. I felt an arm wrap around my mouth and my torso, trapping my arms against my side. I struggled to get out of his grip. "I don't believe I said that you could bring someone along." Orochimaru said. Sasuke turned to face me and our eyes met, mine of fear and his of calm.

"She's a tool in my revenge. Nothing more." Sasuke said level headed. I knew he was lying but I still felt the prick of tears in my eyes. "Now give me power."

Orochimaru laughed again and said, "You can let her go Kabuto." I was released and shoved forward on my knees. The man, Kabuto, grabbed my hair and held my head up. I yelped out in pain. "Kabuto, show them to their room." Orochimaru said.

I was released and Kabuto walked out of the room. Sasuke walked over to me and helped me up. "Let's go." He whispered. We walked out of the room and followed Kabuto.
