Konoha finally came into view as Sasuke and I turned the corner. I was slightly nervous when we were stopped by the guards. They were freaked out and it seemed as if they would kill us if we moved. So, we waited until the hokage came. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was the one of the legendary Sannin, Tsunade! She talked to us but then I guess news got around that Sasuke was back. His old friends gathered around and Naruto ran up to him yelling at him for leaving. 

Amidst the squabble, I was able to escape. I walked away towards my favorite spot, the weeping willow tree by the lake. I sat against it's trunk that had grown a little. Everything was calm and peaceful. Footsteps sounded behind me and I sensed Sasuke's presence. "(Y/n)" He said. "I have something to tell you." I stood up and wondered what he could possibly have to tell me.

"(Y/n), I have always loved you since the first time I saw you when you sat next to me in school. Over the past years my love has grown and changed into something I could never fathom. You have changed me and helped me to live again. You loved me and cared for me when no one else would and I can not imagine life without you. So I'm asking you now," He dropped on one knee and opened a small box. A ring with exquisite detail appeared and took my breath away. It looked like a crown with a heart and a diamond inside. "(Y/n), will you marry me?"

I could do nothing but stare at him. I burst into tears and covered my face with my hands. "Yes- yes of course I will marry you!" He smiled brightly and slid the ring onto my finger. He stood and embraced me. I kissed him on the lips and laughed as my day could not have been any better.

A while later, Sasuke and I went out for lunch. He told me to take off the ring and look at the inside. So I did and inside the ring "(Y/n) Uchiha" was engraved. Then he proceeded to explain why he bought this certain ring and what everything meant to him. "It looks like a crown because you are my queen." He said. "And the heart means our everlasting love for each other and the diamonds symbolize that although life is hard, you make it worth living because you shine brighter than any diamond and because although you have been under immense pressure, much like a diamond, you did not fall apart but instead turned into something even more beautiful." 

"Awww thank you. I didn't know you read so much into things." I told him

"You don't know a lot of things about me, just like I do not know all about you. But, on this journey of marriage, I am hoping we find each other and help each other to not only exist but to live and to love every second of it." So it was settled. We had created a journey to last us a lifetime, through thick and thin, tough times and easy times, we would sick together as one.

A/N: *sheepishly comes out from behind a cobweb filled corner* please don't kill me! I'm so sorry I haven't updated sooner. I had so many things going on and I just didn't have the urge to write.  So I tried to make this chapter longer and happier. Did it work?
