It was the Chunnin exams and I had heard that Sasuke was participating. I went to watch but he didn't show up until the last moment. He made it half way through his fight and then I felt drowsy. Looking around I realized I wasn't the only one. As darkness enveloped my vision I prayed that Sasuke was okay.

I was lying in bed not doing anything. I couldn't fall asleep at all. My thoughts were racing wildly in my head. I went out for a walk to get some air. I was walking down the street when I felt a presence. It was Sasuke. He was walking behind me so I turned and greeted him.

"Hello Sasuke!" I said.

"Hn." He said. His eyes were full of hatred and I was taken aback by this.

"Where are you going?" I asked. While walking backwards in front of him.

"Someplace where no one will find me." He responded.

"But I thought you liked having people around you?" I questioned him.

"I don't really, but having you around is fine." He said. His eyes softened and he looked up at me and gave me a sad smile.

"Why are you leaving then?" I asked my eyes brimming with tears.

"To get stronger so I can avenge my clan by killing my brother." He said. His eyes hardening into the cold look from before.

"You're going to kill your brother?!" I gasped slightly. He looked at me and sighed.

"I'm going to Orochimaru. Alone." He said, emphasizing the 'alone'.

"I don't care where you're going but I'm coming too." I said. "And don't try to stop me."

"No. You're not coming." He said. His tone was ice cold.

"Yes. I. Am." I said just as cold back. And then he turned and kept walking while I followed him. I followed him out of the gate and turned around to look at Konoha for the last time.

"Why are you following me?" He asked.

"Because I love you and I don't want to see you just walk out of my life!" I yelled at him.

He turned to face me, reaching forward with his hand to grasp my chin, and said, "(f/n) (l/n) it would be a pleasure to have you come with me." His eyes were tender and my mouth become dry so that I could not utter a word.

I gaped at him and whispered, "Thank you so much." And I hugged him tight.

That night we left together and I never looked back.
