The next day at school Scarlett was sitting at a table eating lunch with Braden. She hadn't talked to Madison since the night it all happened. Madison walked by and her and Scarlett had exchanged an evil glare. Madison tried to apologize to Scarlett but was quickly cut off. "Scarlett I'm so sor-"
"Don't even bother" Scarlett replied walking away from Madison.
"Scarlett! Come back!" She said grabbing Scarlett's arm and pulling her towards her. Suddenly, Cameron entered the cafeteria and with an "oh crap" expression and quickly left.
Scarlett stormed out of the metal doors and when she did, she saw Cameron standing outside in the hall.
"Scarlett, now before you storm out on me, I want to apologize. I know it was wrong of me for what I did but-"
"You kissed my best friend and now your expecting me to forgive you?!"
"I'm not asking you to forgive me, I'm only asking for a chance to explain! So please, let me!"
"Whatever, I guess I don't really have a choice now do I?"
"Look, I'm sorry, she, I- I just couldn't really help it. You know? Like the first time I kissed you! I couldn't help myself, I just did it and I'm really really sorry! All I want is a second chance! And if you would give it to me, I would be the happiest guy in the world! Just please! I love you!" She saw a tear emerge in his eye.
"I know, I just- something like that is kind of hard to forgive!"
"What does that mean?"
"I'll think about it but I don't know..." Scarlett said walking out of the door feeling like a whole ton of weight had just been put on her shoulders. But it wasn't long before she decided to go to Braden's house.
