Chapter 10: 'Confessions'

Kol's P.O.V

After Caroline and I kissed, we awkwardly went back to the mechanic. Elena was with her headphones on she barley noticed we got back.

Caroline quickly sat down besides Elena and took one of her headphones off and put it in her ear.

That kiss reminded me of the feelings I once had for Luna, I guess those were the side effects of kissing someone who looks exactly and acts the same to your old lover.

This is the worst curse my mother could have placed in our family! Aside from Niklaus curse that's a different story. He would do anything to stop transforming during the full moon.

I couldn't keep my eyes off her even though I knew she's just trying to avoid eye contact with me. We shared a few glances.

The mechanic then got into my car and parked it outside.

"Its done," he said "good as new"

"Finally!" Elena screamed and took Caroline by the hand and took her outside while I stayed inside and paid the mechanic.

Caroline's P.O.V

"So what's going on between Kol and you?" Elena asked as we leaned at the cars trunk.

"Um...nothing really, why you ask?"

"Nothing" she said and looked away. "Okay." I managed to respond.

"Okay darlings, the car is paid, looks like new-"

"Caroline don't freak out again and scream" Elena said interrupting Kol, sliding back into the back seat while I just sat at front at the passenger seat. When Kol got inside the car he pulled back a got into the road again. Everything was quite, to quite. Ugh if only I had my phone.

I glanced back at Elena and she was with her headphones on texting with someone. So I guess its safe to talk.

"You owe me a new phone you know." I said flat but quietly.

"I owe many things to a lot of people" he responded his eyes still focusing on the road.

I ignored him and started looking outside my window.

He then let his arm fall between my seat and his seat and strangled his fingers between mine. I slowly glanced at both of our hands and then at him. He covered it up pretty well. His eyes were still focused on the road. Should I let him take my hand? Should I pull my hand back? Should I just ignore it and just go with it? I was conflicted.

"Really?" I asked.

"What?"

"What happened in the park-" I looked back to see Elena, she was not aware of what was happening "didn't mean anything."

"Oh really? Would you assert me the same thing if I compelled you, love?" He said looking at me raising both of of his eyebrows.

I pulled my hand back while he smirked.

We parked in front of Elena's house at exactly 1:32 in the after noon.

"I wasn't going to handle another hour in that car.." Elena said while we all got out of the car.

I saw Bonnie open the front door with Jeremy.

"Elena Thank God You're Okay!" She pulled Elena for a quick hug.
